And uh thats it I've encountered him in various fighting games including Jump Force where I equipped his fire attack Red Hawk onto my ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL A friend showed me the Enies Lobby scene and that made me want to check this out someday but I'd only encountered this as a 4kids dub in a snow episode with a walrus man and couldnt stand the show so I dropped it immediately I have absorbed little trinkets of info: Namis a thief, Zoro/Zolo (?) is a swords guy with a sword in his mouth, Usopp lies and is maybe Pinocchio, theres a Deer member, theres a Skeleton guy, theres a big war arc and a timeskip, and the last arc Wano that happened took like 2-4 years I have a bunch of One Piece games to play so its time to goto school This will be a mistake --- XBL/PSN/:StingX2 Switch: 0675-3724-0313 <cite>MegamanX posted [p:966584925] in One Piece,... Both times I watched with other people and they were both just as ready to stop there as I was. I have other friends that also stopped at episode 30. One may conclude that episode 30 is probably where the show should have ended, but there are another 1000 more. On my third try at the story I skipped the first 30 and breezed my way through the next 100. The story just gets so much more... streamlined? Depending how I feel East Blue Arc (says netflix at least) Episode 1 -Dear god this opening is just ridiculously good even the little exposition music at the starts fantastic -The Premise is this Gold Roger guy was executed and told the world of the greatest treasure One Piece, so now an age of piracy has started? How long ago was this? -We open with Nami (I assume) at some fancy shindig but she plans to rob it inthe most obvious ass pirate outfit ever -The Navy seems really inept no wonder piracy is king -Coby is not only annoying but has the dumbest backstory ever. Hes perfect for the Navy -Iron Club Alvesta might be the first time I've seen a female villain used at a shows start, she also reminds me of the club guy from DQ8 -Luffys entrance is pretty fantastic -I enjoy Luffy insulting Coby -Coby standing up to Alvesta reminds me so much of Morty in Shaman King and yeesh -Luffy rubber punch OHKO's Alvesta for comedic effect -Closing theme is odd Future Bread Crumbs -Grand Line the Pirate Graveyard Closing Thoughts: Luffy is likeable which yea is why this shows lasted forever but overall this episode really feels like it lacks the hook I've seen other shonen land. I don't know if I could handle that, there were times when even Hunter x Hunter was too slow for me (and it's 10% the length of One Piece). It's always bugged me and largely why I fell out of the anime scene, but One Piece at least doesn't face that problem too bad until after Enies Lobby. Pretty much any time another character witnesses one of Luffy/Zoro/Sanji fight, they're basically like "I don't even try to mess with them, they scary, we have nothing to worry about."
