The new girl came over with her kid and we went swimming. I did a very enthusiastic cannonball into the pool and hit my left ass cheek hard on the bottom. It's very sore. I have to lean to the right to keep my weight off of it. Standing, walking, all of it hurts. A deep, dull, aching pain.

I don't have a lot of padding back there either. Not quite Hank Hill levels of flat. But far from being "juicy." I guess I'll wait and see how it feels tomorrow. It's probably just bruised though. If I broke something I don't think I would be walking around.

You hit the bottom? Yeah, it's possible you broke something. More than a few people dislodged a part of their spine with that sort of an accident. Very important to get it checked out.

Fortunately nothing but my left butt cheek hurts. No back pain, tingling, numbness, headache, etc. Just a very sore butt cheek.

Usually I lean back further so I land more on my back which and the larger surface area keeps me going all the way to the bottom. I guess I was too focused on the distance and height of the jump.

Sounds like you're a lucky lucky lucky luck boy.

But you need to be more careful. One more fall like that and you'll end up like that poor soul there, in the Iron Butt.

Was there a crack in it?

I cracked my pelvis once (avulsion fracture) and I couldnt even put my weight on that side of my hip without it hurting too much.

It was nondisplaced so didnt need any treatment other than keeping the weight off by using crutches for like 5-6 weeks.

it was actually so small it didnt appear in a x-ray and the doctor couldnt find what was wrong until they did an MRI that showed the crack by nature of it having fluid in it.

From 4 to 10. I jumped in around the middle. A little closer to the shallow side than the deep side.

Better ice that ass.
