You answered your own question yes. They probably have data that PC ports have a negligible impact on their console sales and the software sales on those consoles. I think one day Microsoft and Sony will be publishing their F2P multiplayer games on each others platforms though. Microsoft makes a lot of money from Minecraft and soon to be COD and Sony will already be making lots of money from Destiny. May as well keep that going. --- A Fallen Mascot ... Copied to Clipboard!

...Because PC in general expands much further than just Microsoft. Windows yes is an operating system that a good 80 percent of the world uses, but at the same time there is Linux, MacOS and to a lesser extent Android. Microsoft isn't getting any portion of the money gained off of a steam game as far as I'm aware, only the cost of their own operating system. ... Copied to Clipboard!
