I don't see why were givin a pass anywhere. There's nothing stopping Latinos from using it just as sneakily racistly as white folks. But at the same time, I guess the American history isn't there to add that visceral sting to it. Anyway, on topic. Im jist excited to see what direction they go with a woman protagonist. GTA is a series I trust will do a female protag justice and not just make her shallow eye candy. I fell in love with Sadie from RDR2. She was more capable than the men in that game. Her woman's intuition mixed with her roughness giving her the ability to blend in with the men made her a very strong and likable character. I say "woman's intuition" because back then you had to be more sensible to be a woman and gain respect. You had to try way harder, which means they most likely adapted to having superior intuition to be able to be respected in a "man's role". I thought his humor was mostly a miss for me. I like RDR2 better overall and one the reasons is because it takes itself serious. Rockstars writers are good enough to take themselves serious and they really shine when they do imo. I don't mind Saints Row taking over the whacky end. Id like GTA to take its story as serious as it's gameplay. Like they did mostly in IV. Toward the end of the game they really made the world feel like it was caving in on itself with people getting arrested and you having less and less people to rely on. the gameplay in five is just so much better though. gta has always been the right amount of wacky. Not quite saints row but not quite a goodfellas movie.
