Beat Eat Nest is good, but doesn't really stand out; I've heard these types of songs in video games before, and done better. Tree of Life: Roots is a bit dull for a while, but eventually stops being dull, though it's still not good. Beyond the Bounds starts out dull, too, but stops being dull much sooner. This is a bad thing and Tree of Life didn't have to stop being dull to get my vote. Oh hey, remember when I said that I'd heard songs like Beat Eat Nest plenty of times before, but better? Here's one now! Mixed Melody (Stage 4) is another one of those generic RPG songs even though I'm pretty sure DoDonPachi is a bullet hell game. And not only is it better than Beat Eat Nest, its opponent is weaker! One of my favorite discoveries off this year. Beat Eat Nest sounds sicker than the first time, but a match it's a match. SPMD doesn't get old, all of the Tree of Life proves it, the first part is fantastic. Beyond the Bounds is still as sick as its ever been...... tough match. i am happy with either winning after all. MaxGalactica 08/01/22 10:22:06 AM #30:	Dance with the Shadow is so much fun. I definitely like it more with each listen. The accordion solo towards the end is pretty nice, albeit short. Beat Eat Nest has nice piano parts, but not much else that I like. So it's a pretty easy match for me in favor of Dance. My favorite part of Tree of Life: Roots apart from the great melody is that synth percussion that hits at 0:34, 0:40, 0:46, etc. It really adds a lot to the overall ambience of the track. Beyond the Bounds has such a bad main vocal line, to no fault of the vocalist herself. The slower lines are so much better. And most of the rest of the song is fine as well. The violin solo is definitely a highlight. Another pretty easy vote here however. Mixed Melody and Secret Cave are both cool, but Mixed Melody is mixed (hence the song title) better, so it still gets my vote. Pretty good day. Four very good tracks today.
