I'm not sure anyone has ever asked to borrow money from me, other than a low amount like $20-$40 tbh

I loaned my dad $5000 when his furnace, AC, and water heater all died at once, no questions asked. May or may not have been paid back, but did.

Used to. Still do depending on who's asking but it used to be anyone who asked.

C: I lend small amounts to people I know, and if they prove trustworthy with paying me back I'll mentally allow them large sums if they ask for it. Maximum I've lent someone was 800 bucks to get a plane ticket to attend their grandmother's funeral, and it was paid back on their next payday. The most I've lent someone and not had it paid back in full was 300, and they left me 50 bucks short, so I stopped giving money to that person. The vast majority of other people have paid me back but never asked for such massive sums.

Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't. It's something we decide for ourselves. That's why it's the most important thing to us.
