Whoever makes the games decides that needed to be more inclusive and progressive so now officially in the canon the character has been retconned into beng a black lesbian, and will appear as such in any new material.

If there is no new material on in development then they will annouce that a new reboot and/or sequel and comic books/additional media are in the works on the horizon. With the newly redesigned character.

I mean not much since Dutch's gang was open minded and Arthur's only girlfriend broke up with him because her family hated their relationship and they had no future

I'm not saying she wouldn't be a treasured member of the the gang, but until Sadie, the women are either prostitutes and/or hustlers (I forget about Tilly).

so I dunno if we'd see this version of Arthur as an enforcer, but even if so, how the rest of the world would react to her would be different.

Why retcon? Just make a new story with a new character and this new character happens to be a black female lesbian.

The story still works only shion now ends up with KOS MOS instead of allen
