Psycho might have been important at the time, but it really doesn't hold up. The Shining or The Thing would have been much better choices for #1.

I really dislike "jump scares", so Audition and Let The Right One In, are very good.

I dont really care about horror movies, but to act like more movies from the 20s and 30s belong on this list than any from the last 22 years is some dumb shit

i would rather watch the witch, the lighthouse, hereditary, midsommar, and green room than basically any move from earlier than the 50s tbh

get out isn't a24.......... guess there's also the babadook. the house of the devil, drag me to hell, and [rec] which are just outside of a decade. us and the empty man.

satan feels there has been a sad downswing in the quality of genre cinema in recent years.

V/H/S/ and V/H/S/2 are both excellent.

What about Guillermo del Toro's works; like Pan's Labyrinth, Chronos, or the Devil's Backbone?

Satan thinks pan's labyrinth is more of a kid's dark fantasy tale than horror movie

He likes the movie that includes His name (not top 50 tho) but finds cronos mediocre

But "The Fly" is number #8.

That wasn't a horror movie, that was a wish fulfillment movie. Like finding a genie that grants wishes.
