Whats your favorite brand of chocolate?

I have an office full of women and I really want to show my appreciation to them since theyve been helping me through a rough patch during work.

I was gonna go with Godiva, but dunno if theres a more esteemed brand or something.

Godiva, Lindt, and to a much lesser extent Dove are the big three supermarket brands that actually have decent flavor. I like Godiva squares, and Lindts Lindor truffles. My favorite organic grocer chocolate is Alter Eco, especially their truffles and bars.

However, if you really want to make an impression of it being a thoughtful gesture, I would visit a local chocolatier and see what they have for in house truffles and nut clusters. The presentation and taste of these is just generally superior because theyre prepared so recently, plus since its a boutique style item it will feel that much more indulgent.

Godiva is not good. The quality is just not there anymore.

The best is probably if you have a local store that makes their own.

Otherwise if you have a World Market Store,https://www.worldmarket.com/, they carry chocolate from around the world and the chocolates will have better (tastier) ingredients than what you get in the US (Kit Kats from the UK are amazing).

Ah! I am so uncultured! Thank you both for these suggestions!

If you end up finding a good one, I would make sure you get a selection of things that includes a few sugar free options so anyone who is diabetic isnt left out.

My local place is really good, but theres one in the town that our state University is in whose chocolatier is one of those world traveler types who has tried everything and her creations are so beautiful that its a shame to eat them, but theyre some of the most delicious chocolates Ive ever had. She also does giant truffles that are the size of an Easter egg.

Ooh, also, depending on the format and the time you go, you may even be able to see candy being made, which is just so much fun cuz nothing they do ever looks like it should work lmao.

Good luck, Im sure youre gonna do great. Sorry to hear youve been having a rough time, but its awesome that youve got a lot of support thats helping you get through it. Keep it up!

I don't like chocolate. Please don't patronize me upon the basis of my gender.

This is what I do every year for coworker Xmas gifts. Its easy, supports a local small business, and I get counter samples.
