That chapter was designed to be warp skipped. Trude is the only incentive not to, but it's easy to put him to sleep, and even if you can't, he's average enough to the point where it's no loss to miss him.

Yeah I did exactly that. I had to choose between warping Oison to capture Trude or putting him to sleep, and even though I got another warp staff, I figured warp was more valuable, especially because I can't bring myself to use a Hammerne on staffs.

You're going to be rethinking this once you get a good look at Tina's staves.

....Are they that valuable? I mean they seem really good, but I assume they're not infinite range?

The only restriction on them is you can't steal from someone with a higher magic stat than Tina. This includes a pure water boost, so if you scroll stack her properly, she can steal from anyone on the map.

Chapter 13 AKA waste a perfectly fine Silver Lance.

Would have been 1000 times easier if I didn't have to go Baliata slaying.

"Fun" fact: You can beat chapter 14 with zero risk and with getting every extra item except the Dragonpike trivially by just sitting around the starting point after you visit houses and shop. There are a few narrow choke points, only one faces multiple attacks and you can stack supports + charm to get hit rates to 1 there with Finn and the enemies can't ever threaten you anymore as long as you just use unequipped mounted units who can't be captured. The map is a defend map where the developers assumed you would think it was a rout or defeat boss map because they forgot to make it capable of threatening you in any way if you just defend like you're supposed to.

Another wrinkle, though it didn't end up being a problem: I promoted Osian at the beginning of the chapter in order for him to be a big bulky warrior to block one of the points.

Nosferatu too, though that's not as good since it's basically Linoan's personal weapon thanks to its weapon rank. And the Dragonpike is worth going out for, since it turns Dean from a strong prepromote to a complete monster.

Speaking of weapon rank, it really bothers me that the only old FE game where you get to pick your arena weapon type is the one that doesn't have weapon rank EXP.

No idea who I want to give this Accost manual to.

Based on how Dagdar went last chapter, it may do more harm than good.

Yeah, Accost is generally more trouble than it's worth. If you have a guy with near capped defense or magic, it might be good for draining ballistas or siege tomes, but it has a decent chance of backfiring.

I can trade her the light tome I guess, but I also wanted to bring Safy to Hammerne the Earth Sword.

Used up the entire Paragon sword with Mareeta and got her to level 12.

Tonnnns of levels for the new Princess.

SAVED ALL 6 VILLAGERS.

Leveling Mareeta on a map almost exclusively filled with Pegasus Knights and Dark Mages is an interesting decision.

Had to reset chp 15 once just because of the houses, but was easy once I flew units over.

Leif is at cap...something tells me he won't be promoting anytime soon.

So right now I'm out of Master Seals, trying to figure out how many I will need to hang onto later.

I don't see much point in promoting Tina or taking the time to do so. The only people I'm concerned with now are Brighton and Fergus. Don't know how many future characters will need seals, and if they're worth using.

The only reason to promote Tina is so she can have 20 more levels to get magic for her thief staff. Also, Linoan doesn't promote with a Master Seal, so if you were saving one for her, that's one more free one.

In prep and distributing out all the rings I haven't used.

Yeah, she's one you want a Master Seal for. Great bases, and she becomes a monster if you stack her with +HP and +Def scrolls. Plus she has A rank staves on promotion, so she can do Rewarp shenanigans if you make her bulky enough.

Yeah, he's this game's Silver Card. Pretty weird to give you the Silver Card in the form of a person, but Thracia does a lot of weird stuff.

Well that was tedious but easy, took a while to get all the items.

A shiny new PUGI AXE, just in time for the first one to run out.

The second Pugi is the only reason to go B route. Getting Shannam and Miranda instead of Sleuf and Misha (and an option of Ilios, though I doubt you'd take him) is a huge downgrade.

I mean I'm pretty set on units, I'll take the Pugi!

Sara ain't no slouch either.

I hope I get an arena with no time limit again at SOME point here.

Sara shows up on both routes, so the only advantage B route has is that she's around for one more chapter.

Question: Do you need a weapon to enter an Arena even though you don't actually use your own weapon?

I think it'll give you the base level weapon of whatever your highest non-staff weapon rank is. But I never really played around with the arena in Thracia too much since most of them were pretty inconvenient to access.

Sara just gained to movement in 2 turns at an 8% growth.

Amalda has 15 speed, so if Perne doesn't have 16 or more, he can't steal from her.

He leveled up to 16 speed from killing her.

Priceless.

Oh well!

After clearing everything except the boss I fed every single unit in the middle of the map to Sara and Linoan.

I was trying to remember why I put her to sleep and captured her in my playthough instead of just stealing it, but this reminded me. I don't think I leveled Perne at all. The Bragi scroll is probably the worst one anyway.

And I think it's time to go all in on HP and Def on Sara, even if she loses growths in other areas, since she's going to cap those thanks to her promo bonuses.
