Another good episode. I enjoyed the prison stuff, which I feel could easily have been boring if another show had done it. This show does such a good job of creating interesting locations and populating them with characters who are relatable even though they don't have a ton of backstory.

As for Tales of the Jedi, I liked the episodes with Dooku, but I'm kind of tired of Ahsoka and would rather have spent the time watching other characters.

Tales is CGI, right? I'm looking forward to live action Ahsoka show

Say what you will about the Empire, but they did have some nice prisons.

I wish more people were watching this. No matter how long the episode, it feels like you've been watching for 5 minutes when the credits roll.

Every episode gets better damn

This one had a ton of neat concepts and sets then they slapped you over the head with killer performances by Serkis and Whittaker out of nowhere.

Really curious where the deputy dude's story goes. He's trying to find justice in a system without justice. Seems like his destined path is to eventually cross with Andor's and he'll have been so beaten down by the system by that point he may just forego Andor's past transgressions and join him. Or the empire will eat him up and spit him out who knows.

As someone who knows almost nothing about Star Wars, my favourite parts are when I forget it's a Star Wars show and the parts I dislike are when they say a bunch of Star Wars words/name drops I don't understand and remember I'm watching a Star Wars show :sob:

I think this is a huge strength of the show. It's not relying on the typical Star Wars fan service and is way more mature than any other SW media. You could even treat it as a non-SW show entirely if you were a casual viewer. The bigger themes of an oppressive govt and counter rebellion aren't inherently tied to Star Wars even if the names they use are in this context. But there's no jedi or sith or the Force or Tatooine or Darth Vader or anything like that. It's normal ass people in a vaguely familiar sci fi setting.

But then there is a shitload of original trilogy SW imagery between the set design, costumes, characters, references, etc... that tickle my senses as a fan in ways the prequel or sequel material hasn't. Like even the music has this dissonant 1970s feel to it that I am absolutely loving.

Saw rattling off the different political factions making up the rebellion was incredibly interesting. Separatists, Neo-Republicans, Sectorists, Human Cultists, Galaxy Partitionists

Shows with excellent pacing are like that.

Another great episode. This show is very good.

Shows actually good now. Those first five episodes were such a slog and felt way too try hard, like as if it was a show made for people who think theyre too cool for Star Wars.

But now its actually starting to feel like a Star Wars show and its nice that stuff is actually happening.
