I dont know Toyota trims, but rav4s currently start at $27k and end below $50k.

if you got a 5 year old $27k car for $22k you got hosed.
if you got a 5 year old $50k car for $22k, you probably got a good deal in todays market.

Kind of high mileage for the price, but I think SUVs tend to be priced higher than sedans / coupes. Overall, I think it's a fair price, considering Toyotas are durable.

Are those the best deals you can find? Damn. Its not horrible, but considering the mileage, its not great at all. Youre paying 400 dollars for a mid size suv.

Why does it have to be an Rav4? Theres tucson, sportage probably much cheaper.

Then again toyotas are almost depreciation proof

yeah. pretty much all rav4s were around that price here.

anything less than 50k miles were closer to 30k, and anything under 20k were older models like 2012-15 with 120K+ miles on them. which is low for toyotas but still. looks old.

I got a new hybrid rav4 2 years ago for $29k.

But that was right before the market went stupid.

yeah i checked the sale history of this particular car and it was sold for 18k back in the beginning of 2020 :/

Giving the current climate I wouldn't look at it like you are getting F'ed. It's just that absurd.

In today's market that's reasonable.

Have you looked at new? Locally rav4s are only ASKING 1-2k over MSRP. Getting on at or near MSRP seems doable if you are going for a lower end one.

I'd much rather spend $28k on a 2022 Rav4 with 13 miles (not 13k, just 13) than $22k on a 2017 with 83k...

Idk, I got a brand new 2021 camry last year for around that same price so maybe.

Granted I got a significant deal for hail damage (couple of teeny dents on the window trim) and another $1k off for being their IT and the sales manager liking me.

How the fuck do you put 83k miles on a 5 year old car?
I drive to work daily, grocery shopping, etc.
I only put on maybe 5-6k a year.

Yeah. Well good thing is that its likely highway miles, so engine is probably still good

Last week I bought a 2017 Hyundai Tucson with 48000 miles for $22k. Around here that wasn't a bad deal.

If you can afford it then its fine.

A lot of these high milers are former Uber/Lyft vehicles
