You're talking about old night battles, which were indeed nightmares.

Now they based everything on movement logic apart from few maps (like Mirror Stage's very last map on EX).

Also even stages without turn limits have ways to implement turn limits, like deathstack advancing towards your base with nothing being able to stop them.

I still bought a 50 bucks skin for AS, but it deserved the price imo. Though I dunno if I feel the same about the Gronru one, as great as she was. Didn't buy that one

Meanwhile, their idol group event is possibly the first I've ever seen in any gacha that has a healthy mix of guys and girls in the same group.

I dunno if the Holomyth skins are particularly worth it tho lol. It really depends on your fandom, but I haven't seen the members themselves push it particularly hard.

Hmmm...The Eminence in Shadow has a paid event shop. You need to use paid crystals to unlock a shop where you can buy more stuff with event currency. So it's sort of like a battle pass, but done in an odd way. A way that, to be honest, makes it look scummier than it is.

Cherry Tale released on Ero Labs today. Easy rerolls and 3 multis to work with. The game is one of the more enjoyable H gachas I've played.

Not easy to pull was an understatement. It took about 130 pulls in 3 different accounts til I got my first SSR, and it's Gretel, the girl in the intro tease cutscene >.>

Damn, that's some pretty shit luck. I managed to get Aladdin and Peter Pan with the two multi tickets in maybe 6 rerolls. Got a couple single SSR accounts prior but the goal was two.

Is the Santa Karna event grindy? I don't play as much FGO as I want to because most of the time I spend in battles is just waiting for my phone to stop having a stroke.

The newesr GFL client allows me to be extra lazy.

Unfortunately, it makes gathering extra EXP from battles harder due to lowered amount of fights.

In other news, EoM is commencing the Christmas and end of the year with 2700 crystals spread over 14 days.

This Christmas event is more annoying than previous ones cause you need to roll the lottery to get the items needed to unlock the main story missions, which are needed to get the better farming nodes. So if you have shit luck, you may be stuck farming the crappy nodes for awhile. Pretty bad design tbh. Once you finish the story and unlock the highest node, it's easy to clear most of the shop with the highest farming node on natural ap, though I don't know if you've been playing long enough to easily clear it. Once you finish the main story, it's up to you to decide how hard you want to go on the lottery.

I'm still only in Orleans if that matters. How high a level do FGO events generally require? Like, I know Azur Lane events require some pretty beefy levels to complete, but that's a completely different game.

Yeah, don't bother with Christmas if you're that new in FGO.

Lotto events are already grindy enough for endgame players. For new players, it's both grindy and inefficient.

You'll get a lot of mileage out of the lottery if you need the materials, but actually getting those materials is going to be a huge pain.

Events can be rough on a brand new account since the only farming nodes you can easily clear are the low reward ones. It was rough when I started the game even on day 1, and it took me a long time before I was finally able to clear the first shop. This event will have a rerun in 2024 if you aren't able to complete it, normally a strong support can carry through a Christmas event on new accounts, but this one may be more difficult due to the need to roll the lottery.

Information came out about the upcoming UR event. It definitely wasn't the ship that people were expecting, and it definitely raises an interesting wrinkle with regards to the shipgirls memories. Pretty exciting update. And the new swimsuits don't fail to disappoint, as usual.

But what's funny is that EN server has its event name different than other servers.

Even more funny, thanks to the meme I saw in FB, is when you take into consideration that the two new characters are portrayed alongside the event logo and title, and the EN event title lines up perfectly with the bust size of the new characters in the announcement.
