They're definitely down, but not totally out yet besides the smaller families. They've become more low key and aren't near as open and flashy anymore and also have moved more into white collar crime. Still, with RICO, modern surveillance techniques, Italians being more accepted by white society and getting better economic opportunities, and the lack of strong Italian enclave neighborhoods have all done a number on the mob. They're still out there though.

The Detroit mob did or are doing it right. They kept everything tight and within the family and have become more legit.

They arent outside like that mostly legit businesses with a small circle of hustlers. In the USA they arent fucking with GDs and Crips who have the most killers they dont compete with them, they thrived in a different time.
