The only issue with men's fashion is the outlandish shit done in reaction to the normal standard fare. The convention stuff looks good, but it's just limited.

I also blame women's bodies being more interesting than men's bodies. Human males are built very functionally, we're very much a no-frills gender.

I'm on the tall side so I have to buy at big and tall stores. There is a VERY limited option of shirts for me.

That being said whenever I find a shirt I like I buy 5-10 of them. Got so bad a dude at work once straight up asked me if I only had two shirts.

While I don't have that exact issue, I also try to buy multiples of whatever I like just for convenience and because not everything is comfortable.

Women's clothes can be super comfy or super not. They tend to have a larger range of fabrics used to even say underwear.

Men get more pockets though. I swear purse companies bribe clothing companies to not put pockets in women's clothing.

As far as styles go that's probably mens fault. We tend to be more function over fashion.

And because if it looks good on you, you just know you'll never be able to buy another one if you don't buy it right now.

The other issue is mass retail apparel can be notoriously unreliable in terms of consistency, between dye lots, manufacturing facilities, and human involvement. You could have three pairs of pants of the same brand, style, etc, where each fits slightly differently depending on when and where they were originally manufactured (and sometimes even within lots from the same factory)

However, it's a lot cheaper than getting everything individually tailored, unless you're visiting nations with less expensive labor (China being one example). Of course, the thing about individual tailoring is you then have to worry about keeping your body type as consistent as possible where gaining or losing a few pounds would mean needing to make adjustments to your entire wardrobe.

I also hate buying clothes online since you don't know if you would actually like the item when you get it.

I very rarely buy new clothes. I only do if my current clothes get ruined somehow or they don't fit anymore.

I get this sometimes as I tend to have the same outfit for each occasion. Some would even assume my clothes don't get washed because I wear the same outfit for days. They get washed almost everyday so I don't see the problem.

Age appropriate clothing looks less colorful, too dry if you ask me in relation to what men are expected to wear. There's not a lot of geek pushes, refreshing trends, or personalization that would empower one's sense of style like back at the college days. I'm saying that is kind of unfair to us, because we wish to show ourselves. Looking frumpy too available can make people look less interesting like being out of the loop which is weird it isn't not that long ago. For me, I buy good stuff showing my interest still, with the formal wears printed with vibrant things. And I still get called a student with tastes really empowering me to be aware what is beauty. I hope that helps to look in niche spots.

The reason why I went to my current tailor is that theyll make these adjustments for free for the next 10 years. After then, itd probably be time to get a new tailored suit anyway.

The problem with that is that in the last 10 years, I have probably needed to wear a suit a total of 2 times.
