Would you prefer to gain muscle and size and use most of your strength to do takedowns or would you rather use less effort and try to let imbalance throw off your opponent? It's like erm a Ryu vs Zangief thing. Both can be useless when you make a false move prediction, but which would you think would penalize you less for your mistake?

I'm also not sure but I know wrestlers don't like to be on their backs, not sure with judo, they just go flying around all day.

I was in youth wrestling when younger and my brother wrestled varsity high school and went to nationals once. I was dragged to every tournament.

Judo no contest. Wrestling is terrible.

I've been an MMA fighter for nearly 10 years, and this is just a silly take. your average Judo guy is getting double legged by a decent highschool wrestler. They're both worth knowing because jiujitsu only really works if you can get your opponent to the ground, but if you had to have just one of them I'd pick wrestling 100/100. Also, you don't have to be a muscle head to be good at wrestling, you have to have muscles when everyone else is also giant and strong, but that's true for both sports.
