MNN+@0(Day) is another one of my favorites from XCX. A super underrated one too. Using almost entirely samples, Sawano combines them so intricately and cohesively it's really impressive. The drop at 2:03 is obviously the best part. It's super catchy and the synths used are so good. Easily my favorite song of the day. Terrible Monster Attacking Crew is pretty fun. Though I do think it's pretty weak melodically. Nice strings, guitars, and piano though.

The soundscape of Octospider Shimmery is so cool. One of those you can close your eyes to and immerse yourself in. Very good stuff. Roll Me In is very pleasant as well. The sax and guitar solos are an absolute delight to listen to. The Latin-inspired bassline has me hooked as well. Fairly close match, but I think Roll Me In wins this time.

Tiphereth has some pretty good strings and piano. It doesn't feel like something super memorable though. Decent song. The Rise is gonna easily win here. The instrumentation here is fantastic. The various percussion with the piano, flute, and guitar is just a great combo. Great song.

ma-non is a cool mix of organic / inorganic and extremely rewarding once you get past the rather in your face intro - imo, to each their own and all that jazz. sawano isn't always my thing to be perfectly honest, sometimes compositions feel a bit too much, blah blah. this one toes that line masterfully, giving me just enough complexity. i don't really know what else to say, and this is easily one of my top 5 songs from x. the moment the wild arms song started, i was prepared to be lukewarm, but i'm glad that much of this song sounds the opposite. it is a surprising blend of genres and changes. something i can really visualise. like i can just pinpoint the moments the titular monster crew would show up if this was a more cinematic piece. cool, but i have a clear preference here :)

wow octospider's atmosphere is really cool. it may not be "exciting" or "complex", but it is a very, very good mood setter. 'shimmery' is an apt word to place in this title, for that's exactly what i'd describe this atmospheric piece. roll me in has a wonderful fusion of japanese and latin. sexy sax work all around. very mean match to me - i definitely have a preference for katamari but rama is cool too.

tiphereth starts out strong. the strings are cool, what i presume to be bells are even cooler (i love when bells aren't just used for winter levels). the build up from battle to battle is a good touch, escalating and escalating. the rise also has cool escalation in its own right, added instruments giving off a sense of hope, maybe even triumph? dunno, but i do like it.
