its from an episode where the simpsons had a plastic tree because aluminum tree seemed so fake
marge took all the marge took all the alarm clocks so they could open presents as a family cause every year someone gets up early and starts opening before everyone
so bart drinks a lot of water before bed planning on using his bladder to wake up earlier than everyone else
and it works but while opening his gifts he accidentally starts a fire melting the tree and all the presents
so bart hides the melted remains under the snow and when the family comes down for christmas morning they find everything gone and bart lies and says he came down early and saw a burgler who stole everything including the tree.
the town feels so bad for the simpsons they donate money to them and they then buy a new car with the money. only to immediately crash the car into a lake
and then bart confesses and the whole town hates the simpsons after they find out the truth
the town only forgives the family after they break into the family home and steal everything not nailed down.

Stop trying to make "the dark reality of the Simpsons" a real thing. It's just a comedy cartoon with zany, offensive humor.

Lots of people get prostate cancer but that Robot Chicken sketch with Optimus Prime is still fuckin funny

I hate it. The funny thing is that the writer said they try to make him to to Lisa and they just could get themselves to do it. So it shows how it is impactful as child abuse. But part being an a-hole and make makes it okay to the masses. And that is a an issue.

They actually did an episode in one of the later seasons where Homer was confronted for strangling Bart and put into "therapy" where he'd get strangled by an NBA player dressed like him. I don't think they've had him strangle Bart since then.

Cartoons may not exaggerate undesirable traits for comedic effect. Thank you, TC. I feel so enlightened having read this topic. Before you came along and pointed out it was bad, I totally thought it was acceptable for parents to strangle their children when they get angry. If only more people shared the values of TC, television would be far more pure.

Honestly it's even funnier as an adult with a kid. I would never hit or choke my son, but I absolutely relate to the frustration kids can cause. They do shit just to see what happens and as an adult you're just standing there like... wtf!?
