We both played Morph. He got my Typhoid with 9 cards on his side which I thought was pretty funny. But I got his Mr Negative and couldn't do anything.

He's probably playing against himself but he could also just be taking a piece off the board that he captured.

Just had a game where Attilan took so long to shuffle cards that it completely skipped the 4th turn for me somehow. I think it was a combo of Wave changing the costs on everything as they were being drawn.

So my opponent got to play a Magneto and my turn got skipped.

I know that at the end of the game once the final turn is locked in you can quit the game, open it again and reconnect and it will skip all the animations (useful if Ironheart Wong shenanigans or an Arnim Zola loop occur), I wonder if it works in a situation like that too

Hmm weird because I've definitely left and rejoined in the middle of the 256 battlecry back in the day and it did not skip the animations. Maybe they changed that after they changed Onslaught to be additive instead of multiplicative.

Every other time the animations have lagged it seems like it lags for both of us. This was the first time that I was lagging but my opponent was not apparently.

Vormir causes a lot of lag in my games it seems.

Lol someone magneto'd a broodling so it got a movement buff and took all of my Cerebro buffs.

I swear these card games know what deck you're playing and try to fuck you over. Been playing against Death Wave all day so I switch to a ramp Leader Leech deck to try to counter and they disappear.

The same thing used to happen in Hearthstone when you try to switch decks.

Me when I get hit with Killmonger and didn't draw Ultron and I'm left with like two cards on turn 6.

I have found the joy in Electro -> Leader on 5, Odin on 6.

It's not clever, but it is good.

How is everyone feeling about Aero lately? She used to be a 5/6 and saw 0 play but I think that was before a lot of people realized her synergy with ramp decks and Wave. Do you think she'd still see play if they lowered her back to 6 power? It's such a powerful effect to move your opponent's cards IDK why her power is basically vanilla.

I mean Abomination is a 5/9 and Aero is a 5/8 lol. Is Aero balanced around her effect being a negative sometimes like Doc Ock?

I like using Aero in my alt deck a lot. She busts a lot of plans. I think if you play her right she absolutely ruins the opponent's day 9/10. 5/8 does feel a bit powerful for her though, admittedly.

Also how the hell do you beat a venom zola (without cosmo)?

I might just replace my rogue with cosmo since I very rarely have found an opp to play her. But when there is one it's killer.

yeah, I think Aeros power is valued as if the ability was a downside. Polaris and Magneto are basically the same way. Magneto is as strong as Hulk, Polaris is even stronger than Ctclops

Assuming you have initiative on the final turn (If theyve been busy feeding their Venom this is usually the case), Aero herself is a great play against an obvious Zola. If you dont have initiative and you know Zola is coming, play Shang in whatever other lane youre winning (or will be able to win with Shangs power) and make sure you will win the Zola lane once the Venom (or Black Panther, doubled Red Skull, whatever) is gone

watch out for people playing Taskmaster instead of Zola though

lmao I had a guy using a Mister Negative/Wong/Arnim Zola combo and ended up using Arnim on Wong and then the Hobgoblin I threw over there. They instantly did the Deadpool emoji.

second turn I play Scarlet Witch there, it transforms to the Sanctum, so no cards can be played

Yeah it also feels like any time I win I'm only getting 1 or 2 cubes. I like the cube system but it kinda makes these wins a little deflating when I can't get more than 2 cubes.

Everyone is so familiar with this game now that everyone knows whether they're going to win or lose before turn 6. The only time you really win on turn 6 is by being unpredictable and putting Shang-Chi in your movement deck or Leader in your Zoo deck or whatever. Just add tech cards that make no sense for your deck and you'll probably win more games.

Maybe it's just me but I've lost more times than I can count after saying "why would this random deck be running Shang-Chi? Shang-Chi in their deck makes no sense".

I just need to start respecting people who stay in the game on turn 6 because they always have surprises and all of my decks are too straightforward I guess.

It doesn't help that I'm rank 60 but I know I'm facing Infinite players all day because they're using the Infinite cardbacks or titles.

Im currently wrecking with this deck, but my buddy says I should throw Mr Negative in there.

Should I? He kinda throws off the tempo, meaning Id have to play at least one less 3 drop in order to play him, but then I would get two free cards.

I just dont know who to take out. The one card who would be less useful from Mr Negative, Kingpin, has been absolutely clutch in shutting down move decks.

I never see move decks personally

since Kingpin only works on turn 6 his utility is pretty limited if youre not using cards that force them to move like Aero, Polaris, Magneto. You do have Juggernaut at least but thats not a guarantee. Most move decks have a non-Heimdall turn 6 ready in case theyd rather not move anyway

I'll say it. You deserve it.

The more I've played the more I appreciate the cube system. I was disappointed that it was overly simple compared to real poker, but I see now how it balances the whole game.

If you have a really strong or on-meta deck, people can see it coming and you'll win 1-2 usually.

If you have a weird broken deck, or a very high variance one, you might win 4-8 by surprising people, but it will happen much less often since it's not a good deck.

The most profitable deck is one that is off-meta and subtle but is actually strong. Those decks are fun to create and to play with and against, so that's a good thing to encourage.

The mechanic basically ensures that the meta will tend towards being as fun as possible for as long as possible, without requiring constant tweaks from the designers. Extremely genius.

Weirdest game. Dude played nothing for 3 rounds, snapped, then played Psylocke. My Cosmo blocked it. He retreated after that. Not sure what the plan was, even without Cosmo.

Almost certainly Galactus on turn 5.

I just had a funny one while running my Patriot deck, the first location was Sokovia, my hand discarded Cosmo and the opponent discarded Patriot. I snapped figuring they would just retreat since its usually tough to win that deck without Patriot but they stayed in. Third location revealedWeirdworld, and I still hadnt drawn my own Patriot. Whoops! Still won though

Hmm Galactus. Still never had him played against me. Just showed up in my token shop tho - 6k tokens is crazy. That's 60 token boxes which is like 1000 CL?

Also I finally hit rank 40 before the month is over. Shit was so much harder than last month, and I played like 1/4th as much. I tried some new decks too which feel overall weaker than my main deck.

Its not worth it to get Series 5 cards from token shop until you have Series 3 complete already. Even Series 4 is iffy unless its a card you really really want.

Once you have all Series 3 cards, you get 400 tokens when you open a box that would have previously given you a new series 3 card, so token gain is a lot faster at that point.

About what collector level will you complete Series 3?

That number will increase as cards from series 4 move down to series 3, but right now its about 3000. Might take a little longer depending on if you get any random Series 5 cards from boxes.
