New year new dsp bullshit. He is scaling back all rewards but still maintains that people must support him and hit the goals.

Is he actually scaling rewards back? I was under the impression he was just threatening to do it.

DSP has always said that he shouldnt have to give people any rewards for supporting a channel. In his mind, donating money to a streamer should be the default state of a viewer, not something extra they choose to do.

He's admitted this plenty of times before. He says he only watches people parts that he has already beat, but he's too stupid to understand that's essentially the same thing. He watches people pick up stuff he's missed so he can go back and get it, he watches their combat strategies which inform his own because there's just no way he's better than anyone he's watching (even if they took a while to beat the bear) and he can absorb the player's and his chat's commentary on how to play the game and things that hasn't happened yet.

How hard is it to not watch playthroughs of a g ame you're currently playing? Those LPs aren't going away. You can binge them when you're done. Literally the only reason to do so is to spoil yourself and to learn how to not be as bad as a Phil Burnell in its natural environment is. And then he gets mad when people spoil moments in the game for him by asking for the rewards he promised them for giving him money.

Edit: To clarify, I don't particularly think there's anything wrong with it. I've done it. But I also don't claim there's millions of people watching my content for my legit gameplay and not-fake reactions.

You know, I rolled my eyes at Phil when he started saying the first twenty hours of Gog of War Ragnarok were worthless, assuming this was him laying the ground work for starting to shit on the game when it stopped making him money.

But dear gog, I just started the game a few days ago and I'm so mindnumbingly bored. I hope he's right and it picks up soon because all of what I'm doing right now and have been for the past many hours is absolutely nothing.

So Pokemom Scarlet is both his most dissapointing game and one of the top 5 GotY contenders? I mean, Phil never was consitent, but this is just bordering lunacy.

He claimed the cupbead dlc was disappointing because it took 5 years to come out. Ignore the fact that it needed to be hand animated and covid threw a wrench into their plans, it wasnt soon enough for dsp to stream.

But also he acted like he was personally slighted because he had to wait five years for 2 hours of entertainment.

Why do you care?

You have so much other stuff to do. Were you actively waiting for those five years and your life wasted away while doing so? I don't understand. He even said it was appropriately priced for what it was. It was bizarre.

DLC delayed due to pandemic killing hundreds of thousands, possibly millions. Man in Washington most affected.
