I have no idea what I watched. I thought interstellar was bad but even that movie made a teensy bit more sense.

I love Elizabeth debicki, really I liked all the actors in it, even the protagonist with no personality and Russian Kenneth Branagh. Its just the actual movie and story and script that didn't engage me.

Why was interstellar bad?

I thought Tenet was an interesting watch.

I'm sure it's more than full of terrible plot holes if I tried to even remotely think about it beyond the surface level though.

I really enjoyed it. The spectacle and effects were top notch. I remember understanding why characters were doing what they were doing, but I cant explain the mechanics of how everything happened.

It's a fairly decent sci-fi movie imo. It actually touches on some things Hawking wrote about in A Brief History of Time and is a fascinating 'what-if' scenario.

I caught Tenet halfway through and I have no idea what was going on. Apparently watching the entire thing wont change that

Yeah, nolan has completely lost his touch after the 2000s. His 2010s movies are meh.

I genuinely think he had a few action set pieces in mind and worked backwards to create a plausible movie to justify them.

He did not.

It also has the worst sound-mixing I have ever heard in a film.

Oh my freaking God thank you, I feel so vindicated right now. I knew it wasn't just me, something was up with this movie specifically.

I liked both. Interstellar is actually one of my favorite movies. I had no problem with the ending. I just wish they had explained the Blight better, but that wasnt really the point of the movie.

I would like to see Tenet again because I fell asleep in the middle (watched it at home - I almost always fall asleep at home). Its confusing enough even when fully awake, which I was not.

Im pretty surprised at how confused people get with Tenet.

The issue I have with movies like Tenet is that because it's so unnecessarily convoluted that most of the dialogue is all exposition. It just gets really annoying when you are constantly people not talking like regular people.

oh for sure, but still, I think Tenet was passable and it's a lot better than most "passable" films that I've kind of liked. I'd rather it try something weird and have a good few sequences but fail rather than it not try at all, basically

It's not like Interstellar where that film just needed to end a bit earlier and needed no exposition at all in the black hole. Until it overexplained and dragged at the end it's fantastic

Yeah the fight scenes and chereograph in Tenet were excellent, but actually trying to get why the fuck something is happening (especially the car scene) is a clusterfuck. Someone said it here best, but it seemed like Nolan had some really cool ideas for action scenes and sets that he just build a movie around it. I would believe it.

Yeah I was going along with interstellar for most of the movie, even with the time wasting on Matt Damon's planet because he was hilarious, but then it just got really dumb.

Tenet was dumb from the beginning after the opening opera scene. It starts of with an intense action scene to get the viewer hooked but then the rest is... meh.

Could the pandemic have affected some of the writing and/or editing for this movie?

I will try not to puke or poop in tenet.

Interstellar was my favorite movie of his.

Interstellar is one of my favorite movies ever.

Tenet is fun because of the visuals, especially the car scenes. I also love that scene where he absolutely bodies Sator's men at the restaurant.

Also something about Neil was so lovable yet sad.

Though I couldn't take Sator seriously because I kept imagining Gilderoy Lockhart lol.

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned that Tenet is a film that needs to be watched twice to understand.
