I only just discovered hidive a few months ago. I'm assuming it's some tiny little company trying to compete with Crunchyroll that probably doesn't have the budget for things like app development. Which show are you trying to watch?

Can you mirror the video to your TV? If not, Google says they have apps for Smart TVs

Get VRV. It's included with Crunchy.

How old is your computer? What about your tv? Do they have Bluetooth?

my tv is about 5 years old, and my computer has no bluetooth capability.

my smartphone has bluetooth and i assume? the ps4 might?

I remember watching the Dialga and Palkia movie back in the day with low res on Crunchyroll

Activate the screen mirror function on your phone, and see if your TV shows up. As for PS4, this link says you should find an app in the store.

i have not been able to find the app in the store. at all.

searching for it comes up with nothing.

regarding the VRV thing, it's not available in Canada.

EDIT: My tv shows up in the list. At least i think it's mine, but when i try to connect to it nothing happens.

yeah, Hidive themselves have confirmed they don't have ps4/5 apps due to some sort of legal thing with Sony.

the only reason i have hidive/crunchyroll at all is because i bought year-long subs for them when i did have money.

HiDive has an Xbox One app, that's what I use and I like it. Blame Sony for the lack of a Playstation app.

You could also buy a cheap Roku streaming device for like $30 and install the Crunchyroll/HiDive apps on that.

VRV doesn't have HiDive anymore, and it isn't even going to exist at all once the Crunchyroll/Funimation merger is complete.

Since last year, and there's still a lot of Funimation shows left to move over.

I've been really liking hidive, grabbed it for eminence in shadow and reincarnated as a sword.

I ran into the same problem a few months ago, since my pa4 is what i use to watch stuff on my tv and ended up just settling for using my pc.

Probably doesn't have a PS5 app because Sony owns Crunchyroll now.

Also it's pretty funny how the Xbox CR app is better than the Playstation one lol

i'm not jobless, but i'm behind on enough bills and in enough debt that 30 bones is beyond me at the moment.

You must really be buried in debt if you cannot manage to set aside 30 bucks for something you really want.

I tried to but just couldn't. I only watch Eminance and Love Flops on HiDive. Just started Ippon Again and maybe I'll start up the original Legend of the Galactic Heroes since I absolutely loved Die Neue These.

on the crunchroll side of things, i have binged Raven of the Inner Palace, Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, More than a Married Couple and Tenjho Tenge over the past week.

all of them are mid. currently watching I'm the Villainess, So I Tamed the Final Boss, and it's also mid.

Hidive is Sentai which is now owned by AMC Networks.
So its not small, but even AMC has a horrible app so its par for the course with them.

HiDive has the new Lum series. I cant wait for the bluray of it. Probably gonna be a year though.
