Life is so much better here than it was at my old job. I'm glad I made the decision to quit. The guy that took over my role at my old job is still dealing with the same shit I was dealing with. They have 3 network engineers now, but he still doesn't get any time off.

Itll be a decade for me this April. I dont know how I feel about that

The crazy part is that the company is in Austin and the guy who took over my role lives in San Antonio. So when he started, he was commuting from San Antonio to Austin every day. There was a point where my new job was expanding the team and he would have been a great candidate. He chose to stay, though. Now they aren't looking for anyone else in San Antonio.

Yeah, I was at the point where I was desperate to find something else. I never thought I would leave Austin. When this company said they would pay for my moving expenses, I considered it a done deal.

I want to reduce my footprint at my current job, a lot.
I sort of have something lined up. which might make me happrier...or help.

I've stuck with my current place through a lot, and I don't feel it's gotten me anywhere.
If I don't leave, one day would be enough.
