It doesn't make sense when people freak out about cockroaches, especially if its just a couple ocasionally.

1. They don't bite or are otherwise agressive
2. They actively avoid humans and keep to themselves
3. We now know they generally don't carry diseases.
4. Some are cute.

People should just leave them alone.

Lol is this some weird kind of bait? They absolutely can carry diseases. And they get in everything! If you leave them alone, then congrats, they have now spread into all of your electronics and any food that's not sealed.

One time when I was 15 I got to 2nd base with my gf until we heard others screaming.Everyone jumped up to turn on the lights....the ceiling was raining roaches. Party over,we all sat outside until morning.

Hated them since.

It's never just a couple occasionally. If you see one, there's hundreds more between your walls.

I'd never seen a cockroach in my life before. Outside of like a zoo as reptile feed.

When I went to Japan I saw two. Once in the kitchen of the dorm I was staying in and once at a home of a couple I was visiting.

Japan? More like Cockroachia.

Dont the german roaches bite?

I just freak out about fast insects.

1- They do bite, at least the ones here in Australia do.
2- Ever had one crawl across your face as you slept?
3- They can carry the bacteria that causes salmonella, and staphylococcus. Some have even be found to carry polio.
4- No they are not.

Glad I've never lived in a climate where they are typically found. They sound disgusting and they're obnoxious and invasive.

Ok, so they carry some diseases, but the worst you can get from those is diahrrea. Not a big deal.

Never seen a cockroach until I moved to coastal Georgia. Then I'd get several each year, including some dead ones (some had wings but luckily I never had to deal with a live one).

One time I left for vacation for a week and came back, I had forgot to throw away the coffee filter from the coffee machine. I went to throw it away and there was one of those small German cockroaches underneath the filter.

When I moved I found some dead ones tucked in areas you'd never find otherwise. One was behind a drawer in a dresser.

I hated them because it made me feel like my apartment was dirty.

German cockroaches yes. American cockroaches like to live outdoors near water and if you see them it really is just a few of them.

They're also fucking huge. German cockroaches are really small by comparison. If you don't look closely it's easy to confuse them for bed bugs.

Used to live in an old condo where it was infested with American Cockroaches, those giant, crunchy ones with wings.

Apparently, the giant water heater providing hot water for the entire building was located right next to my closet, separated by a thin wall, so they were just breeding there and they would just waltz into my place. Those buggers can slip through the tiniest of cracks.

I called in an exterminator and all that did was me finding dead roach carcasses all over the floor

Couldn't wait to move out

My best friend growing ups house was horribly infested with them. Like there were dozens of them in the open at any given time. The smell was horrid.
