I have a bunch of issues and the system could be so much better if Nintendo got their thumb out of their ass with online, Joycons and emulation but after 6 years I still just like playing games on the thing. First party library is fantastic, indie games are good and the simple concept of being able to dock and undock the system with no hassle is still just...nice.

I think overall it'll end up being one of my favorite systems of all time.

I like the way it plays games

My biggest problem with Nintendo is their constant shift between console and handheld in order to boost the sales of whatever platform that is newer while abandoning the other. Gamecube started out amazing but then around mid gen just just completely left it to focus on the DS. Then they put the focus back on for the Wii only to abandon it for the 3DS. And the Wii U was just a complete disaster attempt at a hybrid middle ground.

With the Nintendo Switch they cured all that by successfully combining handheld and console while also utilizing their past innovations and even newer ones for the system. The idea was perfect and the execution good enough. I bought one as soon as I could and could not be happier with it.

I dread the day the Nintendo Switch's time is up and what Nintendo's crazy ass comes up with for the future.

I expect and hope that Nintendo keeps it rather simple for Switch 2 and it just overall becomes an even better hybrid device.

I love their library of games. I just wish the hardware was more powerful.

For some reason, I've had it for years and never bothered playing it much, and now I'm suddenly addicted to it. It really is a pretty great system with a great concept. I really hope Nintendo just does an improved Switch 2 and doesn't go wild with having to be super innovative.

I just want the games to be native resolution. Like Skyward Sword HD which I'm playing right now looks a lot better to me than Bayonetta 3 did.

Luckily it's not an issue for most games I want to play on it.

But yeah if the Switch successor can handle more games at native 720p handheld (even if graphics are downgraded for ports), kept decent enough framerates and improved those Joycon controls it would basically be a dream system.
