Maybe, it's been a very long time since my first playthrough. Watching cutscenes is part of the playtime IIRC so on subsequent playthroughs it would usually be about 8 to 10 hours

re4 is definitely not 8 hours the first time through, but even if it was that's too long for what that game is. both the castle and the island could have easily had chunks cut out of it and the game would have been better and less repetitive for it

It's definitely longer than the other RE campaigns. I haven't finished 7 or played 8 though so those might be longer. But I do remember 4 taking by far the longest time on my playthrough.

It only took me 11 hours on my first playthrough. It's not like the first game where you're constantly running around this big area doing a bunch of backtracking for masks.

Eh, at 0:47 she looks the same as before but just wearing a coat, then again with the complaints FF7 remake tifa got (which she really shouldn't have gotten any. Tifa is very much still well-endowed) dudes gonna' find something to cry about regardless lol.

You can say I'm a loser, but you can't deny what is happening. It's not a conspiracy. It's not internet nerds preemptively being outraged. We said it would happen and it did. We knew it would because it's happened already. Because it's a clear and continuous pattern.

No, I don't need big breasts on a female character to find her interesting as a character. You don't need profanity and gratuitous bloodshed to have a good time at the movies. But if there's a PG-13 sequel or remake to an R-rated movie, people flip a table because they're being denied something they used to have. It's the same thing here.

If you go to favorite place to eat and find one day that they've stopped serving alcohol, you'd be within your rights to go someplace else even if the food is just as good as it always was.

Even if you don't care about fictional breasts (or real breasts on women playing fictional characters). Even if you're not into women period, it's still a bad thing to remove all buxom women from the media. You are saying that there is a certain type of person who you do not want to be featured in the media and it's through no fault of their own. You would be selectively removing a group of people from having any media presence or representation.

It's not just censorship. It's discrimination. How are women with large breasts supposed to feel in real life when they're not good enough to make it into movies? What does it say to them that body types and personality types are treated one and the same and that busty types are the "bimbo" types that we don't want? I suppose they can go out and get reductions if they want to be treated fairly.

Cover Tifa up more. Take away her midriff. Make it so that there's no bounce or jiggle -- just fat dead space. But don't flatten her because women with sizable breasts are somehow bad people according to the censors who think themselves progressive.

It's like there's an Anti-Tit League that gets to dictate who has an appropriate enough body type to achieve representation. And, according to them, women with small wastes and large busts are unworthy.

Its certainly a graphical update but the video didnt really reveal anything positive beyond that.

I cant see myself liking it as much as the original, based on Capcoms recent offerings.

Someone on reddit summed up the GI article:

• Multiple new enemies
• Side quests added
• No QTEs
• Can carry multiple knives
• New crossbow weapon
• Laser Sight is an upgrade
• Yellow herbs are in the game
• Ground Executions can prevent Plagas from forming
• R3 used to command Ashley (She can follow closely or fall back but will not remain in one place).
• There are no dumpsters for Ashley to hide in this time
• Ashley does not have a health bar, but if shes damaged too much she will need to be revived. Shell die if attacked again in this state
• New enemy that wields a hammer and wears a bull mask
• Side quests consists of fetch quests, puzzles and more
• Attache Cases can have perks such as increasing ammo drops
• You can barricade openings (like in the house section of RE2 remake)
• According to the magazine, they were able to play for a few hours, and this remake is a much more faithful one compared to RE2 or RE3, as some scenes are 1:1 recreations.

All sounds pretty cool. The change to Ashley's health sounds like an improvement.

I almost forgot that I pre-ordered this for the PS5 (for like $42 or something). Just built a new PC so might cancel and get for Steam instead though.

My guess is that it's going to be more like the blue medallions in the original, not something like God of War or Horizon's side-quests. It's hard to know for sure because I ain't paying to read the GI article. IGN summed it up like this:

Game Informer's story mentions that sidequests are also being added to the remake, stating that blue flyers located in-game are used to collect sidequests for you to complete, with examples including solving a puzzle, tracking down and eliminating a specific enemy. The blue medallion collectible that was featured in the original will also be returning in the remake..

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh why is Ashley so fucking useless
