to my knowledge it's not really talked about much if at all in scripture, and seems to be conjecture based on the idea that a christian committing suicide would in that moment not have faith in God and then they are dead so can't take it back. Some also just say that it's still "killing someone" and thus a sin and since you're dead already it can't be forgiven.

Now I've admittedly not sat and studied the shit out of the entire bible cover to cover, but I feel like with as ubiquitous as the belief that people who committ suicide go to hell is among most Christians, at least one person claiming such would have had scripture to back it up and they never do.
