I saw that in the theater last year. It was a lot of fun. Red Grant is one of the best fights in the entire series. Only Oddjob tops it.

"I think my mouth is too big"
"No it's the right size"

Well this movie was made in 1963 so I guess it was just impossible for them to follow up with where that dialogue should've naturally gone >_>

The Bond movies are so fucking shameless about this shit but I find it kind of amusingly kitschy lol.

You'd never know from the way he played that role that Pedro Armendariz was suffering. He had cancer and only took the part so that he could leave his widow the money. Once his role was finished, he shot himself.

It's an odd movie. The first half varies between good and kind of slow, but as soon as Bond gets on the train it turns fantastic

Yeah, Grant is a cool villain. It's funny how blatant some of the euphemisms are in the series LMAO (ie: Dr. Goodhead, Pussy Galore, "I thought Christmas only came once a year")

Gotta love it >_>

One of my favorite Bond movies. Might be second after The Living Daylights. I'm even currently wearing a FRWL shirt that I've had forever. It has that cold war plot, an awesome title sequence and song, the introduction of SPECTRE/Blofeld, Red Grant as one of the best henchman, Lotte Lenya as Rosa Klebb is also fantastic, and it has cool actions scenes especially for the time that hold up today.

Another risky scene for the time is when Tatiana meets with Rosa Klebb. Towards the end Klebb starts caressing Tania's arm hinting that Klebb is a lesbian. It's even more blatant in the book, where Klebb changes into some lingerie. Of course they couldn't do that in the movie.

The only part that kinda bothers me is when they rip off the crop duster scene from North By Northwest, but change it to a helicopter. Bond films taking things from other movies ended up being a habit itself, for good or bad.

An underrated Bond ally. Dude was so cool and funny. Pedro Armendriz was fantastic especially fro someone dying of cancer. The books is also among the best of them.

Klaus Hergersheimer (G section) has to be one too in some way. It sounds like some sort of double entendre.

Same. He was more on the serious side, but still had the humor and charm. He's the perfect Bond to me. He's most like the books too and Dalton read them and took things from them. The scene with Bond and General Pushkin in the hotel room is probably the best Bond scene.

Depends on your definition of rapey. They definitely have that old "girls have to act like they dont want it when they secretly do" thing that was all the rage back then. But if a girl genuinely turns down Bond he lets it go. (Happened in You Only Live Twice lol)

...but there's a REALLY bad scene in Goldfinger where it really looks like he rapes Pussy Galore. She's clearly into it the last two seconds before it fades to black but for like 30 whole seconds hes forcing himself on her as shes grabbing his neck to keep him off.

If one wants to get real technical about it, they're first mentioned in Dr. No. No says he's a member of SPECTRE, but in FRWL we get the first appearance of Blofeld and the organization proper.

Yeah, she starts to want it, but it looks pretty bad with modern eyes. The worst might be him tricking Solitaire into sleeping with him in Live and Let Die.

She's a tarot card reading psychic of the bad guy. Bond gets captured and interrogated by the villain and she helps with her cards. Bond draws the lovers card saying "us?" to her. Later he sneaks into the bad guy's places and uses a stacked deck of cards full of the lovers card to trick her into sleeping with him. She was interested in him, but it's still kinda...ugh. It doesn't help that he takes her virginity and her being a virgin is what gives her the ability to tell fortunes with the cards. Him doing so makes her useless to the villain so it was a way to get her on Bond's side.
