Monopoman 02/10/23 11:19:36 PM #9:	I remember watching one of these in the cheap theatre, and nearly everyone in the theater was cracking up throughout the movie. These are the most unintentionally funny movies ever made, especially if you don't take them seriously. I think I saw them all? As I recall that isn't an accurate comparison. It's just the authors wet dream of ~~two guys fighting over her~~. Then she just changed the name of the main character from Stephenie to Bella when she published it. It's why literally everyone loves the main character in spite of her having almost no personality or redeeming features. If nothing else, the films (at least the outdoor portions) are beautiful, the directors and camera operators really leaned into capturing the majesty of the Pacific Northwest. And not all of the performances are bad (Peter Facinelli as Carlisle plays it straight, and Michael Sheen as Aro is clearly having a blast being the grandiose bad guy), but Pattinson and Stewart can just be painful to watch.
