I want to buy Sonic Frontiers or AI Nirvana Initiative but I need to play the games I own

Quick recap on some of the games I've played since I last did one of these

Horizon: Forbidden West - a lot of fun but a little disappointing at times. The main story itself was great but maaaaan did they put a lot of filler in the world. Some beautiful sights and it did a good job at fleshing out some of the major side characters, but overall didn't click with me as much as the first one did. It's also weirdly glitchy and a lot of little things that could be changed for better quality of life. Overall enjoyable but when they make the sequel they're clearly setting up for, I just really want to see them nail it.

The Quarry - I already made a big thing about this in the horror topic but overall I enjoyed it, surprisingly great cast, even if I did take some issues with certain things

No More Heroes 3 - Man this one made me sad. I loved No More Heroes 1 & 2. Didn't play the spinoff Travis Strikes Again because it's like an entirely different gameplay that doesn't seem as appealing, but I was super excited for a new mainline NMH. And the boss battles still do a pretty great job of bringing back the spirit of the big boss battles, with a lot of surprises and unique things to make them memorable. But everything in between the bosses is trash. The minigames are very few and kinda lame, and instead of having little levels to complete before bosses you just have to fight in a bunch of lame, repetitive fights that are frustrating more often than they're fun. It's an "open world" that feels barren and so low-res that it could've come out on the original Wii. Everything outside of the bosses is an afterthought, and the new gameplay features they added like the Death Glove don't work in half the boss fights anyway. In exchange it took away other gameplay features and overall just made for a disappointing experience. I'd almost say it's just worth watching the boss fight cutscenes on YouTube or something instead of playing, because that's the one place they actually made an effort. Also weirdly the game's story, despite being a mainline entry, is primarily dependent on having played TSA, with most of the characters being from the spinoff specifically

Hot Wheels Unleashed - Haven't actually beat this one yet but man it's just a joy to play. Never thought I'd be so impressed by a Hot Wheels game but a lot of love was clearly put into this, and they really made it feel so authentic to the style, with all the cars legitimately looking like plastic pieces. Surprisingly great.

Sky: Children of the Light - Don't have much to say here. It's like if you made Journey bigger and longer but then took all the heart and soul out of it

Yakuza rules

Cyberpunk is also great imo, though it certainly doesn't click with everyone.

Based on your little blurbs, I think fallen order is the best bet to play next

It's generally good and doesn't have a bloated world. The game ends which is a plus for backlog games.

Yakuza is an acquired taste and targets a very "specific" sense of humor. If you're already big on the series it's a slam dunk

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

I've actually never played a Yakuza game (except a demo one time)

I didn't like Yakuza 0, but I LOVE Like A Dragon (I'm 20 hours in). Can't recommend the game enough if you're into JRPGs or crime stories.

I feel like that's even more reason to play Mafia!
