The last WWE game I played was Smackdown vs. Raw. I don't give a shit about any of the newer ones.

I just got WWE 2k22, so maybe during a sale or something. I really hate having to start over, I really do. Wish they would fix that...

What throws me off is why is it coming out towards Wrestlemania season. Is this a new "rotation" (yeah I just used this word on purpose to trigger mmo thoughts). Anyways nah not likely last one I bought was WWE 2K17 on the PS4 it actually was a lot of fun but I still hold WWE '13 in high regard on the PS3 considering how customizable it was and it was based on the Attitude Era. I still never watched that Stone Cold dvd I got with it though for some reason. I was too busy playing the game.

I heard after it completely bottomed out it got better.

I may get it when it's on a deep sale. I only want the GM mode. WWE 2k22 had some stupid customization restrictions that pissed me off too much to play and I paid for the nwo edition. So I was extra pissed. Never gonna do that shit again. Gonna get it when it's less then $20.

Theyre pretty good games. There are a few bad apples (WWE 2K18 and WWE 2K20 for example) but overall, the games are solid

2K23 roster is garbo. They got rid of a lot of Attitude Era guys.

i'm only getting a WWE game when it brings back da awesome and fun GM mode dey had back in raw vs smackdown 06 or 07

I haven't bought a single wrestling game since 2K acquired the license and made it a yearly franchise.

The "sportsification" of WWE to associate it with the likes of NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA has been pretty cringe in general as much as I enjoy the actual scripted theatrics of it all.

I just got 2k22 recently but will get 2k23 when on sale cuz it has double belt entrances!

In WWE '13 ,my friends and I made the Shield and the Wyatt Family (all with the imported music) the Hardyz. (well we just downloaded the wrestlers and then added the theme we had on the hard drive). So many legends and current wrestlers.

WWE '13 was the most fun I had with a wrestling game since Wrestlemania Challenge on the NES (I am kidding also that one was different than the one with the Hulkster on the cover). It was just a blast. We had fun and I did too with 2k17 and the roster was huge it had Enzo and the Revival though I don't think they were a big deal at the time...

That AEW game promised a game like that, much like many others hehe yeah that game was fun I really loved Wrestlemania 2000.

I will eventually. Enjoyed 2K22 quite a bit. Just wish the base roster was better with not so many people feeling like they were held back solely to be sold later as DLC.

No. Yearly sports game series are bad to buy every single year. Just buy one once every few years and you good.

My brother and a buddy used to do triple threat matches for the title all the time. We made it so only pins counted. My CAW had all of his moves target the head. He was such a cheap character. I would hang out outside the ring with the ring bell in my hands. If someone came out I would run and DING them with the bell. I would let them do all of the work wearing each other down then try and sneak in and steal a win. I would win like 75% of the time. Sometimes they would gang up on me. I loved the customization in matches where you could submit someone or knock them out and they would just lay there out cold for a while.

Haha where you when I could have used you in those handicap matches in the No Mercy story lines. You had to beat the APA alone and it's like one would also get up after you hit them with your finisher. The storyline while way more generic in WM2K could get frustrating in No Mercy. 30 minutes trying to maaaaybe when a handicap match they never ended sometimes.

Also eh I felt like fwiw there were more frame rate dips and odd glitches in No Mercy. But No Mercy brought more.

17 was fine but I think 22 would be good. Also the people working there won't tell you this but you can pass on '23 unless there is some sort of mode you really like. I know it bottomed out but I doubt it got that much better. Plus like sports games you find one you really like and can edit to your hearts consent like NHL 2K8.......holy shit @Jagr_68 you used my old roster updates for that game. NHL 2K forums baby. It was surprising he made more updates b/c he just made another profile.

I don't see him anymore but he updated that shit till 2017 or some shit.

As is Punk. Both huge draws, so I see why they're where they are tbh.

Can't wait to play CM Punk and Cody in the AEW game, better than playing as say the British Bulldog in War zone when he was already in WCW again.

I might get it since I have a PS5 this time around, but it really depends on the improvements from current gen to next gen and improvements from the last game.

As of right now though the Cena showcase means very little to me.

Also I would prefer to play his on the PC, but 2k seems determined to keep all their games on the PC away from next gen.

Can't wait to watch a certain elite shrine maiden create, and wrestle against, her coworkers in that game.

The WWE Universe mode is still the same as I like it. I absolutely forgot 100% how to PLAY the game though, so I have to find the tutorials again. I skipped them assuming I'd still remember lmao.

They've changed the controls a lot over the past few years so I don't think knowledge of previous games will necessarily translate to 2k22. Especially since they introduced the combo system.

For me, despite not actually watching any wrestling since the Attitude Era I really enjoy the games. I've put a lot of time since release in to 2k22 however and I don't want to start over again so soon, so I'm looking at getting AEW Fight Forever this year unless it reviews terribly. If that's the case I'll just hold off until next year's release.

I havent played a wrestling game since the ps2 era. Can you still fight backstage and knock out the ref and have someone interfere in your match?

@Kamil You're probably thinking of DJ Neo who did fix the last 2 entries in NHL 2K. I stopped doing it a very long time ago because I didn't jump on board with Wii U and pretty much the whole hockey community left that site, so sharing sliders and roster changes were meaningless

I love wrestling. I love video games. But I have never been able to get into wrestling video games. And I've played the ones on N64 and PS2.

I have 2K22 don't see a reason to buy 2k23
