I've been sleeping on this series for too long. Been playing a lot of SR2 on PC lately, even though it's a bad port it's still really fun to play. What are the least annoying to play versions of 3 and 4 though? Console or PC? Original 3 or remaster?

I think SR2 is one thats always mentioned as a bad port. I played through SR4 completely on PC and some of SR3 because I already beat it on console. Both worked well.

SR2 is one of the worst PC ports ever made. I know the community has been working a fix forever, but the guy spearheading it died of cancer. idk if work really continued after his death.

Yeah the constant crashes and lack of DLC are a bit of a bummer for 2, but I bought it for 2-3 dollars and if nothing else it's fun to cause chaos while playing as an unrepentant psycho while unlocking tangible rewards from the side missions. So 3 and 4 have all the DLC and aren't crashing randomly? That's cool beans man.

I don't recall any problems with the two ports. Both were a lot better than the console releases at the time.

Probably better to play the remaster for three.
