My nephew said me wearing a bonnet was gay. I wanted to talk to him and see why he thought that. But my brother just shut it down and said to not talk about it. My brother also thought the Bill episode of TLoU wasnt suitable for children and thought him being called homophobic for his opinion was was absurd. My mom agreed.

My best friend is very religious and I just am not. So she always brings up God in things that I just cant relate to.

Most of my friends would rather send memes instead of actually talking. Just feels surface level.

Im realizing that I still filter the music I listen to and shows I watch from my closest friends.

I am realizing that Ive lived for nearly three decades and dont have friends I actually relate to.

Been drinking and figured Id let an anonymous forum know ig.

Its just something unfortunate that happens. Despite how LGBT has become overall more accepted, there are still plenty of people who have an old fashioned or judgemental way of thinking. Im lucky than many people I know personally hold similar values to me, even if we arent 1:1.

I dont do well with meeting new people. Im extremely talkative with people I know; I can hold my own when meeting new people. But I dont relate to guys that well, and women are skeptical of having guy friends I feel.

Ig another thing thats frustrating is what people are willing to tolerate. I have a friend that is being a simp for a dude on the sex offender list just because hes in shape and has a ponytail. He doesnt care about her family and actually cussed out her father. The dude talks about his rough past and how he has anger issues.

But she doesnt seem to care about our friendship at all. Its like once people fuck someone, nothing else matters.

I'm gonna assume this Bill thing must have included a non heterosexual sex scene or kiss because most people don't bat an eyelash to violence when kids are presecent but sex and then it's time to shield the innocent's eyes. That game was violent as hell and the sequel is extremely violent to the point people called it torture porn I can't imagine them putting that on TV and letting kids watch it

I just try to be a decent person ig. But people in my real life seem so behind and judge a lot. But then folks here are so impatient and expect you to know everything.

I just feel like I dont belong anywhere.
Im not in school or church, so I cant meet anybody really. I dunno.

Couldve just said nothing wrong with someone looking/ being gay and left it that. But yeah gotta be careful with other people's kids. My brother is super religious so we dont see eye to eye on many issues, but Id never try to teach his kids what I think.
