The fact that my wife and I have built a stable home, where all the bills are paid on time, my children rarely want for anything, and we are all (generally) happy, it's all I could really ask for. If I were to somehow find the energy to truly put the pedal to the metal and try to improve, my best-case scenario would be living alone in some terrible government-subsidized apartment, still being terrified of everything.
