Yeah true. I don't think we used hb/dumey's role very well at all, but it was extremely strong and so was I.

Balance seems OK but most games will go town's way when they refuse to mislynch lol

I told you Lea was town early on day 1. I wasn't lying when I said I trusted the shit out of myself that day. It would have taken a lot to get me t lynch Lea in any circumstances.

Naw, the setup was fun. We just got facerolled, but honestly, it was a cool setup to try and play around. Seems all of the scum on both sides simply knew too much for their own good and got bit by it haha

There was way too much setup talk on page 2 of topic 1. Pretty much everyone who was trying to talk about it was scum who knew about the setup. That was something I'm surprised nobody else caught on to.

But this was a fun game to read when I could, in large part due to the swingy setup. If the cards fell differently early, we'd have been looking at a much different endgame.

Looking back the two things that changed after talking with Han was death delayer replacing bodyguard and Heihachi getting bulletproof on top of godfather.

Also it was very nice to have the rule about not discussing the replacement and I think that should always be a rule.

I'm pretty sure it basically is a rule. At the very least, you should never be talking about this in context other than things in the game itself.

HB had a lot of class to do and I dont know why he could not just say as much in-game, he had every right to not post much but town didnt know that.

Well, it was not written out in the rules I copy pasted, I added it, and I've seen it done before since coming back here.

Oh sure. I don't dispute that at all. Town played extremely well and scum got themselves into a very difficult position. My comment is only that having one conditional Strongman with that much protection really limited our options at night.

Also no, I did not know for certain that Ulti was scum and yes I did literally type it out that way by accident.
This is not a "death is never this confident as town"thing.

I knew at that point scum needs me mislynched to win(And if you read GCorp chat, you can see this was on the money). I'm not about to let that happen. I'd rather have the fight now when the day is not all that contested than push that to later when everyone is feeling pressure.

Oh geez we're done.

I cant wait to see how bad I got reamed in DTC.

Ironically no protection was on Lopen that night.

But you really nailed night 1, you discussed three people and the two you didn't shoot were targeted by Corrik and Plum. Then stole the cop result. N1 could've only gone better for you if you hit power I think.

Also Death, you're a jerk for shooting me night 1... all I wanted was to play mafia that weekend.

Oh I absolutely had no hope of winning in a final 4 with red alive

I was certain it was based on showing concern over both you and peaf on day 1. when normally I'd just fall in line with you.

Both scumteams hunting each other so hard is interesting reading their discords. Would have been a much more interesting game if each team decided to commit to killing town.

(That isn't to say the game wasn't interesting, I had fun at least)

I do think that mafia brings out the worst in me. I said some pretty mean things this game.

I need to commit to just replacing in if playing at all, because I think Im philosophically incompatible with social deduction games. D1 made me angry but it was anger at factors completely outside mafia.

I think I just dont play D1s ever again and if that ends with me not playing mafia so be it.

If I threw my fake tracker claim out way back, the track was "IGCD went nowhere". But I lost confidence on that read when two teams were revealed. Didn't want to get trapped.

I also desperately wanted to claim "Jack, Town Jack".

I completely abandoned the plan because of the aforementioned "Jack is GCorp" flavor talk. So decided to just stick to either vanilla or honesty(Dumey's claim forced the honesty.) I think "scum jack" would have looked like a real appealing lynch to a lot of people.

GGs, I had fun for the one day I got to play in. :P

I said it in scum chat, but good job Isquen in not going for the "planned" confirming loop to instead watch the pretty obvious kill target. It was something we considered, but decided not to play around, so I totally deserved to die for it. We knew it was a risk.

I kind of wish that I had found a better lynch target than Kirby since having both teams alive a little longer would have been better, but I think if I didn't push for Kirby there, then Death was the one getting lynched. So it was a damned if you do, damned if you don't. Oh well.

I think bussing is the right call there actually. Its not a great option, but killing off the other team was probably the worst scenario there. Keeping 2 kills a night up is real important when playing from behind.

Despite me being scum, I did actually think during my reread that you were playing pretty well and very towny. That's possible. I kind of think replacing into the game and immediately bussing my last remining teammate would have been super disrespectful, so there' approximately 0.005% chance I personally would have chosen that play, but I don't deny that was a possible strategic option.

What part did I not solve? I had my own PoE down to 2 with 2 lynches left.

You basically decided to lynch IGCD because of OMGUS and let Plum and Lea do all the work to actually finding the scum

I would have lynched IGCD and Death in any order. I didn't care beyond not getting a misylnch of myself.

I don't know what work you think was actually needing to be accomplished beyond what happened.

As I said, the most important thing wasn't IGCD lynching me. It was making sure the entirety of town didn't lynch me. I needed that discussion to happen now(And in fact, I wanted it to happen the day before).

Anyway sorry Plum but I do think philosophically your stance on day 1s is really bad and I was totally shocked to find that's your actual belief

I have successfully helped drive way too many scum lynches day 1 when I've got good town players backing me to say it's all luck. Definitely way above 33% success rate on day 1 lynches on a personal level.

Also sorry Lea if I came off as too aggressive in trying to defeat you, you seemed ok with it after I was dead though. To be clear I had you towncleared once all of Ulti's team flipped and only read you as scum because Ulti's play was too ridiculous.

Town lynch success on day 1 is 8%. Just have a 2 hour day 1 and special someone and fast forward to day 2 imo. Or just agree to nolynch day 1. Or rng it.

We weren't hunting for your team. Two scumteams definitely throws a big wrench in the PoE. The list of people that couldn't be mishima was huge. G Corp was a lot more open ended.

Again, your just ignoring basic game theory. Its a 50/50 choice. My primary concern is making sure it doesn't become a 33/33/33 choice. Beyond that it is a win. It is simple logic.

Sorry I look at mafia first and foremost as a game of logic, I know your cloudy conspiracy brain has trouble contemplating it, but that is how I play. It works.

I would have absolutely pushed the host to the limit for fun if possible.

I get what you're saying I'm just saying it's a cop out so you can pretend you played well and no matter how ironclad the case for you being town is it's not as likely to convince anyone as finding a rock solid case on someone else being scum.

Btw I do feel like half of the things people accuse scum me of are things I get accused of as town as well.
