I'm really having trouble figuring this out. Why is it better that you get lynched without claiming?

It was the reason I initially trusted Chris. I find it more likely I might have ate the rb than a kill that night because rbing into the unclaimed makes more sense. You were also a mislynch target while Chris lived, but yeah.

I think it's by far most likely that Sultan removed his gun while considering things and then was hammered before he got to consider things.

I considered outcaster or whatever it was called in Xenoblade earlier where scum could make people untargetable. And that Sultan shot at one of SBell/Ulti/Corrik (the ones he was asking about when he died) and then Wallz watched the same peraon. But I think it's more likely that Wallz was blocked and Sultan didn't fire.

He asked me which of the three I would shoot if I had his gun or something. Made he think he at least considered pointing it at one of them, I don't immediately recall who he said he thought was scum except me.

Though when night began I was very surprised to be alive and thought it was weird he wasn't pointing anywhere and didn't consider the shot failing.

My solve for that in particular? Or the whole game state?

I am only suggesting you are Mafia Backup. Nothing more crazy than that. Mafia Backup was brought up by Chris and SBell before, and it explains how Peaf died, and how you survived the Sultan shot.

The idea that Sultan wasn't pointing his gun is actually insane by the way. Sultan was fully committed to the plan at that point. Even if Corrik hammered a little early without waiting for Sultan's confirmation, Sultan knew he could be hammered at any point and was in the thread at that time.

If we get to post-game and it turns out that Sultan just didn't point his gun, I guess I'll eat these words, but to frame that likelyhood as "more likely" is insane. Sultan shot you. You didn't die. You refuse to claim. All of the signs are there.
