Personally, I dont think there are many exclusive or semi-exclusive games worth buying a whole console for. However, I can imagine there being a tipping point for me, with the release of Kingdom Hearts IV. Ive also recently heard rumors of a new Ape Escape game, but thats probably not legit. That would likely have the same reaction as KHIV for me.

I'm holding off until GTA6,Elder Scrolls or a Fallout. Whichever comes first.

Had a PS5 since Christmas 2021

Been 2 years since I lucked out.

Even if I didn't have Ratchet & Clank, Demon's Souls, Cyberpunk, and Control there's still an entire PS4 catalog that can be boosted to 1080p/30fps/60fps which makes playing on the old hardware pointless.

Also has the benefit like Gamepass with PS+ having a multitude of so many games it's overwhelming to even have time to finish em all.

I have one. First Playstation console I've owned. So of course it would be the first generation that would port a lot of its games to PC, so now I barely play it.

Got it for Returnal and Demon's Souls, at least the latter is still exclusive. Now I have Returnal on both PS5 and PC. Edit: Oh yeah both Spiderman games too.

I've got a PC so Xbox is completely redundant. And the few Playstation exclusives I would want to play are slowly trickling onto PC now. Consoles are officially dead, thank god.

Yes PS5. I only have Saints Row for it now but I'm about to get both Horizon games this week.

I'd like for a system seller to be announced in an hour or so.

Spider-Man 2 is ps5 exclusive and release date will be revealed in about 40 minutes.

I have had a PS5 since release day. I didn't buy it for any particular PS5 game, I bought it because I needed a replacement PS4 pro. Since the PS5 is damn-near full PS4 BC (only a few games either does not run or has graphical glitches. I never played the older assassin creed's series or those PS4 senran kagura games like that so those graphical glitches for these games did not matter to me. The one really good game on the does not run list, shadow complex remastered, actually got quickly patched so it runs no problem on the PS5 now) getting a new PS4 pro at that point in september 2020 would have been a huge waste of money.

Rather just pay the 528 dollars total for a brand new day 1 physical PS5 from wal- mart and play a good deal of all of the 400+PS4 games I already own better running on a PS5 compared to spending like 300+ at that point in time to get a replacement PS4 pro that to be honest probably will just have the same overheating issues my current one did again a few years later. (I played a lot of red dead online at that point, and red dead online I guess ran the PS4 pro hard enough that I used to get "this console is overheating and needs to shut off" messages).

I did actually buy demon's souls and devil may cry 5 special edition to go with my shiny new PS5, but besides those I was just really enjoying doing some more hunts on monster hunter world iceborne with both the internal SSD loading and FPS no longer being ass like it was on the pro. Going through the PS4 list and playing some 60fps sekiro, earth defense force 5, holy crap dynasty warriors 8 xtreme legends and one piece pirate warriors 3 is a practically solid 60fps on console this is pretty neat etc.

I will say this though. As a console gamer (I do have a desktop PC, but I only use it really to browse the net, youtube/twitch because ad-blockers, playing indie games and emulators) I have absolutely loved the PS5 and played the bull-shit out of it since I got it since games has ran really well on it (my favorite being FF7 remake. Damn this game's PS5 version is such an improvement over the PS4 original). Its extremely quiet, runs cool so I doubt heating issues will be a thing, and its really easy to clean the dust out of it because of the removable plates.

No. I'm happy with PC.

I have both, play the ps5 a bit more lately.

I don't have either and at this rate it will probably be another year or 2 before any games come out that will require me to get one.

I bought a PS5 earlier this year in anticipation of FF16 and the next FF7:R title, so I guess those got me to adopt

The only actual PS5 exclusive I'd particularly like to play is the Ratchet & Clank one, and that's not because I'm a fan of the series I just think it looks like a pretty good game.

Everything else is a remake, I don't care about it to begin with, or it is on (or extremely likely to come to) PC.

Xbox Series X... I don't think they're even trying to have things that don't come out on PC? Even for the gen before the only exclusive I can think of that I cared about was Rare Replay, and even then it's mostly just a rerelease/compilation.

As for any singular game... highly unlikely? I'm not going to drop upwards of $500 just for one game. I tend to put a threshold of something like 5+ exclusives I want to play on a console before I consider getting it anymore, and I need closer to 10 to feel confident in the purchase. Otherwise I'll just stick to PC.

No, it's usually a investment how and see it. And for just one game, no matter how good wouldn't be worth it to me.

Depends for me. I feel like by the time a must-buy game comes out for me, there are other things I want to play. So it's more a, 'oh, now I have to bite the bullet' type of thing.
