streamofthesky 06/02/23 9:53:55 AM #11:	AI just requires re-writing the tax laws to tax companies at the point of sale and get rid of payroll taxs in favor of higher corporate taxes, so they can "pay for" using AI instead of labor to make their profits, then using that money to provide everyone w/ UBI. It's going to be hard b/c corporations own DC, but when the alternative becomes millions of angry jobless people w/ nothing left to live for and heavily armed...I think politicians will vote on the side of "no guillotines, please". Global warming will just plain make the planet more and more inhospitable for human life and drive tons of regions into either a crisis for lack of drinking water or literally bury their lands under water. It's clearly more dangerous. The poll currently say global warming is our biggest problem. I agree with that since all AI has to do is save enough humans for slave labor, to build and maintain new severs for AI, and let the rest go extinct from something that if people had worked to prevent it would have saved all of them. Yeah, there is people faking news and spreading misinformation, but you don't need AI to do that. People have been doing that just fine without AI.
