I'm level 61 right now, working on renown to finish regions, and some nightmare dungeons to level Glyphs. I very well might be able to do the capstone to get to T4 but I want to finish this stuff first and I heard that you should try to clear a level 20 nightmare dungeon to know if you can do capstone.

I need to grindddd, I havent had nearly as much time to play as I had hoped for on my off days

I have those plus their life/damage buffs, and they still get demolished pretty quick. Im on tier 2 since the start, but I hear from other necros that beat the story that the minions are genuinely worthless in tier 3 and up due to how quick they get shredded.

Upped it to tier 2 and still melting, so... fingers crossed for now. lol

barb gets better when you get a couple decent legendaries but yeah its sucks at the beginning because fury generation is so slow and basics dont hit hard. You wont be able to solo bosses on T2 either most likely

I mostly played DH or Mage (or wtf it was called in 3) and liked the standing back and quickly teleporting around to do some damage. The barbarian is more jump into combat and just smash everything, which is fine but not my style I don't think. Especially with bleed where I'll get a guy with enough bleed to die and focus on the next group while I wait for bleed to finish and kill the guy, but then I have to walk back and get the treasure. I know it's minor but it annoys me.

I am playing on T2 and have beaten some of the bigger guys but I don't know about an actual boss level boss yet. I will say I went into a small basement of a house and The Butcher showed up and took like half my health with a single hit before he randomly despawned. Didn't get any treasure though.

Just took down the Butcher with my bastard skelly boi Necro. I just pillar humped while they blasted away on him and he barely touched me.lol

I think my game is stuck loading into a random cellar

yeah I don't play WW type builds in ARPGs so I went frenzy/upheaval. upheaval does a ton of damage but it's slow and frenzy only tickles anything but the weakest mobs. I started on T2 but I had to switch to do the act 1 boss.

I might try rend after I finish the campaign on my sorc

I just beat killing and then lightning struck and mhm power went out

Anddddd that also ended my 28 hour print 2 hours before it was done

Im having a hard time finding a build that I like to play. My highest is a 36 Necromancer. But it isnt good at all. Changed the build around a lot and I cant find anything thats easy and fun.

I made a Sorcerer thats level 24. Went from an Ice Shard build to an Arc Lash & Chain Lightning build. I dont enjoy that either.

fair, but dont forget that endgame armor and builds will be vastly different than your leveling experience, but if you dont like the play style at all thats fair

Is Tier 3 supposed to be pretty tough out the gate? Level 50 WW/shout barb. I haven't died yet, but some close calls. Feel like I need to get a bunch of sacred items to feel better. There are a LOT of elites on tier 3.

And whats with the helltide? Is this important? How do you do this efficiently? I feel like a headless chicken.

my first day playing tier 3 and it feels like there's more hazards to deal with. a lot of poison puddles and freezing and mobs that have fire at their feet that you can't stand in. it's not unmanageable but you gotta get out of the stuff quick. aside from that it's not bad at all.

helltide is a public event. basically kill mobs out in the world, find events, and collect the currency it drops to buy gear from the chests in the area. so far it's been dropping the best gear in this tier for me. do it with a group if you can.

Finished the lilith statues, now im doing sidequest to fill out the last of the renown rewards.

I have to say there are some pretty cool sidequests in this game. Spoilers:

I just went to the dungeon from the ritual in the very begining cinematic where they summon lillith and found the bodies of the priest and the other two sacrifices.

I did start a Sorcerer yesterday and played a bunch. Got up to level 20 maybe? I keep getting sidetracked at dungeons and shit so I think I'm going to beeline to do some of the main story.

I am getting tired of walking around and finding a dungeon, clearing it, and then walking around more only to discover a town somewhere on the map that has a quest for me to go back into the dungeon and do it again. That's happened twice and it's annoying AF.

But sorcerer is fun and once I got Blizzard it started to feel better and like it's falling into place.

I just finished the campaign at lvl 53. The cinematic near the end was dope as hell. Blizzard did a good job on the presentation of the campaign. While it's not the greatest story ever I think for a Diablo game it was done well and had great build up in the end there. Onward to tier 3 later today most likely.

I'm gonna go to tier 1. Tier 2 is too hard for me. I wanna zap zap zap and win.

I might give up on this game. No build I try is fun and Im dying all the time even on world tier 1. I cant even afford to repair my gear. Thats how much Im dying.

Dont know what Im doing wrong. I had fun with D2R and D3. This game is so much harder than them.

What class and build are you going for?

So are you guys waiting for season 1 until you start a next character? I played D3 but never did any season, not sure how they work.

Hmm, almost seems like there might be some fundamental thing you're not doing or something if you're having that hard a time. Tier 1 shouldn't be hard enough that you're dying so much you can't even afford armor repairs. Are you using health potions? Upgrading them? Equipping new armor? I'm a WW barb and there were certainly a few times early on where you're kinda squishy because you're melee, but finding some good armor and maybe the defensive shout helped out eventually.

If anything, I've heard werebear druid is the tankiest class. Maybe try respeccing to that?

Im doing blizzard/frozen orb on my sorc and basically haven't come close to dying once yet at lvl 31. most of the time I never get under 90% hp

I'm loving my Lite Sorc right now. Got a Legendary Staff now I'm owning things easier.

Firewall sorc is fun as fuck. Fire everywhere lol

Im upgrading my potions every 10 levels. I equip the yellow gear I find. I get overwhelmed by large groups on all classes. I dont have the damage or defenses to survive. I run around in circles on my Necromancer as my skeletons and golem kill things.

Go back to Tier 1. Level up. Use those murmuring obols, that's how I got my Legendary Staff.

Game is down for me

I'm only lvl 13 Barbarian but I have to admit I am having troubles with the Dungeon bosses right now. Everything else is good but getting mopped by them. Mostly the adds overwhelm me.

I'm running decrepify (I think that's it, first basic purple skill), and sever with my summoner necro. Are you making sure you are healing your bastard skellies? It both heals them while giving you essence, and the frost mages also return essence when they attack, so you can hit things with sever, which is wrecking shit for me atm.

People are really finding this too hard? I only played Diablo 1 and a tiny bit of 3, so I am NOT a veteran. Currently Tier 2 and level 27. Haven't started on tbe actual Acts yet as doing all the dungeons and side quests around the town.

Of course, I can't fucking login right now! Ugh. I guess I will go the grocery store now. I should have done that anyway.
