Yeah Mortgage is paid off and ive been maxing out IRA and 401(k) since my mid 20s Non retirement savings is picking up too If i can stay employed like this i can probably retire somewhat early That said, i expect tech salaries to crash or at # of jobs in the industry to shrink big time So i kind of suspect there will be a career pivot and pay cut in my future that takes me off the early retirement track --- These old bones live to learn her wanton ways: (I measure time by how a body sways). ... I work for the state of California, so I will retire no problem. But I started a bit late, so I'd only get 39% of my salary if I retire right at 55 (would be 74% if I started with them right at 18).
