So far hes acknowledged that student debt exists. Does that count? I mean he didnt do anything about it, but he did mention it.

Oh, and yes, I voted for him.

He's been a (mostly) stable force in trying times

That's all we really need from a president right now tbh

He can't exactly wave a magic wand and fix the economy

He's done a lot of good things but it is hard to think of anything truly great. America/Congress support of Ukraine and Taiwan is the only thing that may fit the category.

You can probably find a comprehensive list of good things he has done on reddit somewhere

When was the last time a president did something "truly great"? The ACA could have been but fell short and I feel like it's almost impossible to do anything big without it getting skullfucked by Congress in some way or another.

As for Biden, it wasn't great but he did get us out of Afghanistan after 20+ years. He ripped the band-aid off when no one before him would.

Ended the war in the Middle East saving a lot of money, resources, time, and lives as a result.

Pushed for and supported the Covid Vaccine.

He made an attempt to forgive student debt until the Republicans got involved delaying it.

Protective reproduction rights for women on a federal level.

Inflation reduction act which helps with lowering drug costs, fighting climate change.

The American Rescue Plan is a big one too.

Supporting Ukraine against Russia

Support for Marriage Act

Violence against women act

Pardoned all Federal offenses for Marijuana

Nominated the first black women to the Supreme Court. More of historical accomplishment.

The dude has done a lot for this country, most future proofing it. Yet people only want to focus on wanting more to be done right here and now despite not understanding how much control Republicans have and how hard they make it for him to get anything done.

Really dont get how Democrats are so bad at messaging. I mean I guess they have less money cause they are not just grifting all the time to pay for ads and tv appearances and whatnot.

he has been exceptional at foreign policy. his early support and refusal to waffle on ukraine has led to global support of ukraine (zelenskky being an amazing leader is not to be discounted either). so far he is by far the best foreign policy potus of my lifetime and it isn't remotely close

domestically he is supporting right things most of the time. he got an infrastructure bill passed and dominated the hapless gop idiots in doing so. he is constrained by right wing congressmen and courts for much of his domestic agenda but has done most of what he could

It's less that and more that they don't have the same media support that republicans do to blast all their incoherent bullshit everywhere.

Just look at our "left wing media" that just gave noted insurrectionist former-president Donnie a townhall full of willing participants that they told to laugh and clap for him.

Ever since the GOP decided to adopt the Gingrich playbook and substitute lying, trolling and grandstanding for actual governing, it has been very difficult for a president to do anything truly great and bold. The nation is too polarized, and our electorate keeps voting for divided government even though one of the major parties literally tried to overturn a free and fair election in front of everyone. There is always going to be a base voting for Republicans mindlessly because Fox/Rush said so, and until that stops, getting majorities needed to govern with greatness instead of just keeping the lights on is going to be really hard. No matter who the person on the Oval is.

Biden has done a lot of really good things since being elected, with the most important being judicial appointments. His main accomplishment is being a grown-up in the White House, which this country sorely needed after Trump basically turned it into a daycare center the previous four years.

this. the gop has the benefit of going hard right and having the media constantly normalize the outrageous shit they do.

democrats are sometimes bad at messaging on their own but the much bigger problem is having the media frame it as both sides having legitimate political disagreements instead of one party actively trying to kill democracy

Yep, also on top of all of this, it's the fact that democrats are actually having to DO messaging. See things like Bernie and "paying for all the free shit" and even Biden with how we could afford student load forgiveness. Democrats have to go out there and actually explain plans and ideas, because they HAVE plans and ideas, and those are boring and take time to do. Republicans just get to run on stage, shit in their hands and fling it at the crowd would screeching WOOOOOOKE and now they have their 30 second sound bite, because they don't actually govern.
