I take a caffeine pill once a day in the morning as I usually don't have time for coffee and don't drink sugary energy drinks.
Never exceed one a day though.

I wake up, take a caffeine pill, feed my cat and then take a shower. Usually kicks in during the shower.

I take two caffeine pills (200mg each) a day. One when I wake up and one around lunch time.

Like $3 for a bottle of 100 pills, way more cost effective and I feel like it makes me alert way faster without the jitters caffeine drinks give me

Side effect is that all the caffeine hits you at once unlike a cup of coffee which leads to jitters easier. Also I'd feel nausous if I took a pill on an empty stomach.

Alright closer to $4 but still cheap as hell

Only side effects I've ever noticed were when I took them on an empty stomach for too long. Increased heartrate, light headed and nauseous. But went away within minutes of eating or drinking something.

For those of you who take caffeine pills, do you eat food with them?

Im considering switching over to caffeine pills instead of soda/energy drinks, but if I dont eat anything when taking in my caffeine it gives me wild anxiety later on when the caffeine starts to wear off. Wondering if its the same with pills.

Good luck! Remember though, it's easy to overdo it. I only take one a day, I wouldn't recommend taking more than two in a day. Lots of college kids fall down that trap, just make sure you're not going to make yourself sick from too much caffeine.

I usually eat something within an hour of taking it and feel fine, it's just when I rarely go like a few hours without food that I feel like shit

More important to stay hydrated while you're taking them.

I drink energy drinks almost every weekday. If you drink something with a lot of caffeine (some drinks have 240-300 mg), just make sure you eat a meal with it or you'll be jittery in a few hours.

One of the best tasting energy drinks that I've had is the Rockstar Punched Fruit Punch flavor. It has 240mg of caffeine and tastes like a sweet fruit punch soda. The downside to that sweetness though is that is has 61g of sugar and 260 calories. The Pure Zero version replaces the sugar with Sucralose, so you get only 10 calories in exchange for less sweetness.

The Monster Ultra flavors aren't bad either. Much less caffeine (155 mg) than the Rockstars and they use sucralose as well to reach 10 calories per can. Ultra Sunrise is my favorite. Carbonated Orange flavor, like a light orange soda.

I drink usually about a pot a coffee a day, then usually take an energy drink or preworkout before I go to the gym. The energy drinks/supplements are usually around 150-200mg of caffeine, then I have no idea how much is in the pot I make everyday.

I could not survive without it lol.

I recommend starting slow: start with half cups of dark roast coffee and use milk or some kind of creamer to dull the bitterness. Dark roast will have less caffeine than lighter roasts so your body can get used to it better, and half cups will make you not as jittery at first.

Don't get a french press unless you're sure you want to drink the stuff all the time. Instead, go for drip coffee that you need filters for: you should be able to buy a cheap filter cup and some filters to place over your coffee mug as it brews. If you decide later you want to become a full-time coffee drinker, then go with a french press. The oils it squeezes out really concentrates the caffiene.

Eventually work your way up to a full cup and then see if you need more.

The single energy drink/pre-workout I take is 150-200mg. I can almost assure you the cups of coffee I am drinking are not that much. My pot of coffee makes about 4-5 cups, and if I had to guess, each cup is probably less than 100mg. But hey, if each cup is that much, well I sleep fine so I can't complain much lol.

I fucking love my coffee...

But it is kind of addictive long term. Not like heroin (I'm told) or cigarettes (which I quit many years ago thankfully)... so keep that in mind.

But yeah, caffeine is fine in moderation, and in large quantities it won't kill ya, but can be bad in the long term.

When I drank a bottle of gin per day it would be mixed with soft drink, so I was having lots of caffeine there.

Now that I only drink once every 3-4 weeks, Ive replaced my binge drink with coffee. I quickly realised that could be a problem so I made sure it was decaf. =)

(which I know still has some caffeine in it, but only a fraction of what I was once having)

^^ This lol.

In my younger years I used to drink coffee continuously all day. At home I had a 500ml glass mug that I used, and at work the staff would say that my cup was never cold from the time I arrived at work until the time I left.

I still drink coffee daily but nowhere near to that extent.
