Most superior boss in Bloodborne too. Pretty much all the Old Hunter bosses make the Moon Presence look like a joke.

Kos is the kind of boss I hate because it's half-trivialized by good parrying in the first phase but I never bothered to get good at parrying because I liked the blades of mercy, so it ended up being harder than it was probably supposed to be.

Yeah but he's fighting a Bloodborne player character and they take huge damage from everything.
That makes it less impressive.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I'd call anyone in Bloodborne cool.

If I had to single one out and say they were the closest to being cool, I'd go with Darkbeast Paarl.

I'm a long deceased video game franchise that most likely shouldn't get any more instalments. Being uncool is a given.

I don't have a whole Bloodborne coolness ranking but Orphan of Kos is the end guy at the end of the DLC so he should probably be less lame.

None of the characters in Bloodborne who fit into either the category of "belligerent farmer lookin guy" or "big lovecraftian blob thing" can qualify as cool.

Ebrietas just punches and hits the ground a lot. I could do that if I wanted to.

The only bosses in the game I had trouble with were Old Hunter bosses

That's only if someone else tricks you into buying DLC though. If you don't buy it, the other guy never even gets the chance to fight you.

^. It's a great design for what Kosbabby is supposed to be, but "cool" is not a word I'd ever use to describe it.

Here I worked out the top 3.

BLOODBORNE GUYS WHO CAME CLOSEST TO BEING COOL.
1- Darkbeast Paarl.
Named Darkbeast but he is electric instead of dark. Everyone in this world uses blood to power things like it's electricity. Paarl uses electricity as blood just to stand out.
His name sounds like that old llama video like "Paaarl that kills people!"

2- Micolash, Host of the Nightmare
Being a host of a nightmare sounds lame but this guy at least has some shenanigans. He runs away and says stupid things on purpose and dresses up as a cage. Will also fight barehanded instead of using weapons which is neat.
Loses points for having Lovecraftian magic spells and because some of the things he says are more boring than stupid.

3- Shadows of Yharnam
These guys keep it really simple. Be ominous figures wearing hoods. Good strat. Bring different weapons in case the one they all decide on sucks. Makes sense. There are three of them which means they are personable and understand concepts like friendship. I dig it.
The snake thing gives me a Voldemort/Slytherin vibe and that sucks but I can't really fault them for trying.

Nah. I think Lady Maria is the coolest one. Ludwig is the hardest one. Kos is just OK.

On topic, no. The fight itself and the lore are pretty good, and the design is pretty good for what its supposed to be, but cool it is not.

it's a from software world. most people are sitting somewhere if they're not a demon or some sorts trying to kill you. in that context, sitting in a chair isn't the worst hobby. you got people sitting somewhere, one blacksmith dude, or something that's trying to kill you.

The only cool person to sit in a Fromsoft game is Kirk from DS1.
Specifically the part after you fight him 3 times, he goes back to the Chaos Servant Clubhouse and lets you borrow his armor while he sleeps sitting up.

I already said that Kirk's the only person who gets away with it though.
Both onion guys are the local fat guy of their respective games.

One gets stuck in a well and is friends with Yhorm (Who is kinda meh.) The other keeps going "Oh how heroic it would be if I put my hand in this hornet's nest, yes, what a glorious end."

I could not recommend being a fan of either.

The funny thing is that Old Hunters was out by the time I played it, and I did Old Hunters, then the Chalice Dungeons, before I ever did Nightmare Menses and later. So the whole end game was a big joke to me.

Gehrman has a scythe and if you're not the actual grim reaper, you can't pull off a scythe.
If you aren't the grim reaper and you have a scythe, you are probably in actuality some sort of emo misusing farming equipment.

Secondly that's not even a normal chair, that's a wheelchair. He is pretending to be disabled. They've only got so many nice looking plants in Bloodbopolis and there Gehrman is wheeling around, thoughtlessly running them over and leaving tracks.

Ragna couldn't make it look cool. My DS1 character had to bend the rules a bit to almost make it cool. Sister Friede couldn't pull it off. Zasalamel made a respectable effort but comes up short. Goku Black's was tacky. A bunch of anime protags did scythes no favors at all.

If your name isn't Death with a capital D, you're gonna need a better build up to pulling out a scythe than having sat around in a wheelchair all game.
