It probably helps that I mostly only play on the bus to/from work. If I were playing more than an hour/90 minutes a day it might be different.

Eh, I only play enough to do my dailies. I never play more than that the vast majority of days.

I've probably been playing the longest here and I'm not exactly burned out but I did decide to stop buying the battle passes at least.

I've been on daily quests mode for a while though so it does raise the question why I continue playing at this point.

I don't have any faith that the devs will fix any of the issues I personally have with the game so IDK.

So how does saving the big caches work

Can you collect them but choose not to open them?

Or do I need to sit at 6249 collector level until we get a set I like and then go ham with stored credits at that point or what

Them telling us which 4 cards will be available weeks ahead of time implies that they want you to save those ones for the weeks you want

This week you should definitely be opening them if you dont have High Evo or Darkhawk

My first game tonight someone played Legion on Rickety Bridge.

Devs confirmed that, for now, Legion works differently than Mirror Dimension on Flooding. Where Mirror Dimension copying Flooding will Flood one turn later, Floodings created by Legion will all 3 Flood at the same time, due to an order of operations quirk

Legion seems like a bad idea to be honest. Like people are talking about Flooding being a problem but the design of the card is really the problem-- it has two modes.

Those are historically some of the most fun cards in card games though

Card games where such cards are fun tend to have a lot more moving parts than Snap and the degenerate end tends to be less reliable.

Snap you see the stupid location and play him on it

Fun degenerate = make him Scarlet Witch the location THEN do his thing. Now that would be fun.

End of Turn 1 on my first Legion game, lol.

Also, I dont think Legion works nearly as well as a 6 drop. Getting at least one turn to play with the affected locations is the point.

Yeah I don't really have a problem with Legion's design.

But I do agree that I don't like the design of a card being dead in hand 9 times out of 10 but single handedly winning the game in that other 1/10.

Also I haven't run into it yet but reddit is already complaining about the Storm + Legion combo even though that's the only way to make him into a consistent card and it's easily counterable so we'll see.

Legion seems fun as is. You can Witch/Rhino any location before he ever gets a chance to be played. And locations cut both ways, so I don't really see how Legion on a shitty location or even Storm+Legion can be very winning. You might need more location-agnostic cards though (Jeff ftw).

Sounds like they moved the spotlight change to being live already so now you get 1k tokens instead of a duplicate

Nobody told me how fun Invisible Woman/MODOK/Hela is. I started running it and I dont think Ive lost in Conquest yet

When you draw all your pieces in that deck its VERY tough to beat

Had Scorpion flip on the same turn my opponent played Bast lol, they immediately retreated

Just had the stupidest chain of events happen.

Triskellion tossed me Deadpool on the second turn, which I played to clear out my hand, then I added in Magik for an extra turn.

I then go through my usual deck cycle, setting up IW/M.O.D.O.K./Hela/Living Tribunal in one lane.

My opponent sets up the usual Hazmat combo, which is naturally negated by half my cards being behind Invisible Woman. So, Deadpool reduces to -3. Then, inexplicably, they play Gambit and end up in the one situation where playing Gambit after Hazmat does anything positive - a -6 Deadpool returns to my hand and is then forcibly played by Hela.

However, Triskellion also handed me Super Skrull which absorbed their Luke Cage, so it's all moot.

Just, the journey that Deadpool card went through while ultimately doing absolutely nothing. A shame I had Super Skrull, because it would have been really funny if that -6 Deadpool lost me the match.

I love playing Rogue against that

I cant remember the last time I saw Rogue be played other than when I used her

must not be going against surfer decks then cause almost every surfer deck I've played against has her (especially negative surfer)

I havent seen Surfer much. Tbh the vast majority of my playtime now is Proving Grounds and Destroy is probably like 8/10 matches I see

I really wish the Silver+ tiers of Conquest had some sort of Consolation prize. It's absurd to ask 20+ minutes of the player with the potential of absolutely nothing coming from it. I'll jump in there occasionally and then have no idea why I would want to commit so much time. I already feel like I spend too much time on this game, and this seems to require dozens and dozens of hours to actually get anything meaningful out of it.

New favorite trick. Shuri into Attuma suicide into Phoenix Force into Taskmaster

I wonder if people will catch on it seems powerful even without Shuri.

There's a competitive Agatha shell??

Agatha/Wave/Lady Sif/Ghost Rider is the shell to make sure she gets played early or discarded early with the ability to bring her back

And then a bunch of other generically good cards (under 6 cost to make sure Sif always hits Agatha)

EDIT: Oh and Domino is in it I guess to make sure Agatha is always putting something decent down on 2?

Yeah those 5 are the main shell. If you want to go super extra risky you can make a Hela variant with like Hell Cow and Modok

Hey, I made Infinite for the first time! I know it's not what it used to be, but here's my deck anyway:

Sunspot
Daredevil
Spider-Ham
Armor
Jeff!
Cosmo
Attuma
Professor X
Klaw
Spider-Man
Leader
Destroyer

It's a Control deck, my main strategy being to lock down the board in a way that messes up whatever combo my opponent was going for. Armor and Cosmo ruined opponents while also letting me play Attuma and Destroyer for the big guns. DD -> PX is a classic combo, which is helped by Jeff going wherever he wants. Leader's a safe play once you have a lane or two locked down, Klaw assists with Prof X, Spider-Man has ruined games for people, and good ol' Sunspot is there if I need to pass a turn.

Yeah I had an Agatha deck I use with Agatha + Wave + Sif

Not sure it's the "competitive shell" but it is designed to make her usable. Just get her out of hand a bunch of cards that are useful in random locations if I don't draw her.

Should probably replace She Hulk with a 5 though. The idea was her cost reduction would put her below Agatha cost but if Sif comes turn 3 it doesn't always work out that way.

Agatha on Machine World is the best. Pretty sure he wins if he's actually piloting but I knew Agatha couldn't win against Wave + Typhoid Mary turn 6 and she always plays herself (though actually he could have tied if Agatha played herself right I forgot Red Skull was back to +2-- should have dropped both mid to just win. Not that I would have ever retreated in proving grounds anyway)

Dude was so mad he raged and rejoined with like 25 seconds into the idle and then played out the game (argh, luckily next game had the +5 energy location so I won in 2 but it's bad form to play out proving grounds if you're down 8 cubes)
