Reading her card it literally says NOTHING about requiring the same turn. These guys are brainless in their descriptions of card abilities so its no wonder every new card breaks multiple things either

Echo doesn't have to be the same turn, she just has to be face up on the field in that location before your opponents card

After your opponent plays an Ongoing card here, remove its abilities.

I mean, if you don't have priority then your opponent's cards are going to be played before her.

They should probably word it to say exactly that then because thats the last fucking thing Id have guessed based on what the card actually says. Who the fuck is gonna pay 6k tokens for something that sounds barely worth more on the board than a rock

I really don't understand the confusion, it seems pretty cut and dry. Why would you assume it works with ongoing abilities before she's on the board?

Echo can't really do those without prediction. I mean it works but you'd rather just use enchantress or rogue for that.

Echo I feel fits in more as a protection card to protect your lane from enemy ongoings annoying you. I mean I guess if you know they're playing Knull or Darkhawk or whatever you can secure a lane with it if you have priority on turn 6 where Rogue and Enchantress wouldn't help in that case. That's another use.

Yeah I see her being similar to Goose. Not necessarily meant to actually get her ability to activate every game, but you get to control where your opponent is willing to play their stuff

Whats confusing me is it sounds like she has to be played/revealed before an enemy Ongoing from reading these posts while her ability says after an enemy Ongoing is played. The after part made me assume she was a cheap Enchantress minus being On-Reveal. Im kinda surprised nobody else apparently thought so >_>

So you thought they released a 1/2 Enchantress that couldn't be stopped by On Reveal restrictions lol. That level of power creep is going to take 10 years.

I mean yes because its a single lane and there are already cheap cards that completely cripple On-Reveals so why not one that does it to Ongoing

After is a relative word

If Y is after X, then X must be before Y

The effect says any Ongoing after Echo, therefore Echo must be before the Ongoing

Well if it specifically said After Echo I wouldnt have been confused in the first place. Her being pool 5 is baffling when Spider-Ham has far better value and was even far less tokens

I see Echo as basically just another alternative to Iceman or something. Gotta get something out on curve Turn 1, maybe you cripple one of their plans, maybe you dont, but you werent getting any power on the board otherwise, and there are at least 4 better 1-costs

Definitely should just be a Series 3 card

Maybe something you throw into a Conquest deck in case you run into a use for it?

Maybe she SHOULD be On Reveal, then shed have an excellent role as a Lockjaw token <_<

As a 1 cost Id have been fine with On-Reveal. Theyve made so many strong/annoying cards I dont think Echo would really be broken if she even worked like the location that just disables Ongoing abilities in a lane either. Cosmo already does that for On-Reveal at 2 higher cost so they couldve just made her identical to that, but stopping Ongoings

But if you want to stop current ongoing then they value that at 4 energy with enchantress

Thing is On Reveals ONLY happen "after" so Cosmo doesn't need to specify that, but Echo does need to specify it

All pretty good changes I think, that Magik change is very interesting but it's easy to counter if it starts getting too popular so we'll see.

Ghost Spider was being played enough to get a change? Since I joined shes the Season Pass card Ive seen by far the least. Ive literally seen Phoenix Force more than Ghost Spider lol

I apparently have Magik. I guess I forgot I got her and Ive never used her yet. Did they fix the damn bug with new cards youve seen not registering? Ive had Spider-Ham & Phoenix pop up as brand new like 12 times each

I was thinking of a way to add Monkey to Surfer but I dunno if it really works. You skip out on Mysterio which will make Monkey worse overall.

Magik is definitely gonna be a staple of Surfer from now on.

Kitty is also less likely to be Shang'd

Funnily enough, Tribunal is more likely to be Shang'd

I really wish they just changed Tribunal to like 4/4. You need be able to keep your 6 drop for the card to be viable.

now that would be a funny deck, one where you -want- your opponent to Shang him so the power stops getting spread

They actually specifically cited that in the patch notes

LMAO at a Season Pass card being buffed mid-season

Heres how powerful Bounce is: I just curbstomped someone with it in Silver Conquest and I didnt even know Kitty/Monkey/Ham had been changed until mid-match

Also they threatened a more significant gameplay change for Ham in next months big patch

And they said theyre gonna change Magik back to being able to be played on Turn 6 in that patch as well

Ooooh thats what that meant. I couldnt decipher what that was trying to say. I thought it meant her ability wont technically be an On Reveal on Turn 6 or something weird like that

Magik getting more play means that my Scarlet Witch/Quake/Rhino deck is gonna have a lot of fun ending the game at 6 when they're expecting an extra turn, lol.

I wonder if it will only be disabled when you play her on Turn 6, or if it will also be disabled when she's brought in on turn 6 by Jubilee or Lockjaw or whatever (which it currently is not)

I wonder if this makes Phoenix Force/Multiple Man TOO powerful if you hit it on curve

Moving it on 5 and then again on 6 plus two turns to play other move enablers on it is going to flood the board with 8 power cards very easily

EDIT: Which I guess is a huge buff to Kingpin and 2099 if that happens

So this patch is helping definitely, but also adding Hawkeye to C3 has been amazing
