There are a lot of restaurants around me with much better food and it is actually a little bit cheaper than fast food.

Only problem is service is a bit more speedy at fast food places so if you're pressed for time it may be the only option.

I use to get macdonalds all the time cause they were cheap. Now i rarely ever and you might as well just grab something at the grocery store and thats what i do.....

Youre better off eating at the middle tier places now. Its the same price as chipotle, Jimmy Johns, Panera etc.. I had to eat by myself at work at the drive thru yesterday. I got a mccrispy and a mcchicken, nothing else. It was 9 dollars

Just looked it up and its $7.79, so around $1 a sandwich. So just about the same price as McDonalds. But Im guessing McDonalds would taste better than that microwaveable stuff.

Lets move the goal posts. And also its on sale plenty and or discounts whatever store you go provide like kroger plus etc....

I provided a literal grocery store item thats the same and a little cheaper and convenient by getting it from your freezer. And i just dunk the whole thing in syrup as well.....

McCrispy here is $5 and McChicken $2, so $7. And if it was $9 at your location, theres a coupon in the app for $3 off a $9 or more purchase. So yea your meal could have been around $6.

And Panera as a comparison?! Their chicken sandwich alone is $13. So yea at McDonalds you get twice as much food for half the price.

Fair enough. I guess the point of the topic is how expensive McDonalds is when your example proves that McDonalds is about as cheap as buying breakfast sandwiches yourself and making them at home.

I for one, would prefer the convenience of McDonalds making the sandwich fresh (or at least fresher than it sitting in my freezer and me microwaving it).

So for me if its the same price as something at the grocery store Id rather have the convenience of having it made fresh and I personally think it tastes better.

But to each his own. My point is simply that McDonalds food is fairly cheap, as cheap as making it yourself. Now theres pros and cons to either, but I myself prefer going out.

Calling mcgriddles being made "fresh" is a stretch and grocery stores are already competing with their cheap dollar item....

And also going out to mcdonalds for a comparatively cheap dollar item over "freshness" is a stretch.
