CRON 07/25/23 1:13:14 PM #27:	Chappelle's Show is still one of the funniest sketch comedy shows I've ever seen and most of his standup is funny but I don't like how he rested on his laurels and relied too heavily on the whole "Am I transphobic or not? I might be! But I might not be!" gimmick. He knows how to reel you in and it's great because eventually there's a punchline that hits hard. I am, however, not a fan of his trans jokes but not because they're offensive or "punching down" (a comedians job is to find the funny in everything, even stuff that is taboo) but it's for the same reason I'm not a fan of Steven Colbert making Trump jokes... the punchline is always the fucking same. When a punchline is the same for the subject every single fucking time, it gets predictable and boring. When Steven Colbert makes a Trump joke, I'm like, "Let me guess, he's a dumbass." and what do you know I'm basically a prophet.
