It appears that there will be more and better alternate costumes this time, since Squidward wears his regular clothes, the band outfit, and an artist outfit. It's possible that he switches into them for certain moves, but I don't think it's that since he puts a volcano on his head for one of his moves instead of changing into the full superhero costume.
