So you don't get misgendered when you are called or go in for an interview. It's also good to normalize this behavior generally.

Not good if you are trying to get the job sadly, though I guess if you want to avoid a workplace that would treat you poorly for being non-binary I guess this is a quick way to avoid them

It's not uncommon for applications to specifically ask you for your gender/pronouns these days. It seems really fucked up to disregard an applicant for answering that accurately.

This study isn't about applications.

Its about pronouns on your resume.

No, it's an important identifier. Have you ever received a resume from a Taylor or Alex and not known if it was a man or a woman? Wouldn't a pronoun help there?

A resume is a list of your qualifications and perhaps some terse contact information. It's not a Facebook page.

Pronouns take up like 8 characters at the end of your name. It's not your bio.

What a weird take

No one who argues against pronouns actually gives a shit. They just want to use the use of pronouns as a signal of political leanings, and want to signal that they dislike people who lean that way politically.

This. I conducted countless interviews and reviewed tons of resumes. The only times they might have alluded to their gender identity is if they add extra-curricular clubs like Women's Leadership Coalition, or even fraternities and sororities. I've never seen a resume with anyone pronouns listed though.

I havent been on the job market in a while but I find it hard to believe many HR departments allow gender to be a question considering its illegal not to hire based on it.
