ok I've probably been spoiled on quality OPs and EDs for the series so far but that definitely feels like a big dropoff from the others, certainly last place subject to whatever the new Ending is.

Still hyped for the show returning at least but this'll be an easy 90 second skip for me each time :/

Watched the first episode of FLCL Shoegaze (this is the not CG one).

Crunchyroll used AI to translate that Yuzuki Family show and got caught with their asses hanging out, because it fucked up big time and nobody reviewed it before upload, lol.

Not shocked, not surprised. They don't want to pay actors, so why would they bother paying translators.

People are thinking that it's Avex, the publisher, that provided the subs and they're forcing Crunchyroll to use them.

And for whatever reason, they think machine translations are acceptable because they lack quality control.

Oh I didn't even think about Kenshin possibly getting a new opening.... damn their first one was so good, this one is dramatically so much worse in comparison. Another easy 90 seconds of skipping per ep, I guess I'll be getting back 36 minutes of my life between this and SxF

I don't know anything about Undead Unluck, but DavidPro looks to have put a ton of resources into this anime based on the PVs so I will probably check this out.

Kingdom of Ruin may be the first time I've been unable to get through a first episode I actually wanted to watch due to content rather than quality.

Just totally unnecessary.

Maybe I will come back to it if I hear good things down the line, because the production here is good and the actuals world is intriguing.

But for now I can't.

First episode of Undead Unluck was great. Wasn't huge on some of the fanservice but literally the only thing I already know about this series is that after the first volume the vibe completely changes and has basically none of that stuff, so interested to see that ironed out.

I would love to watch that fake series at the beginning though, what a haunting first minute lol.

Yeah the beginning tries to be edgy but it drops that fairly quickly

Forced myself to get through the scene in question I'm KoR, and was greeted with the worst Okama archetype character I've seen wanting a girl to strip for inspection before she became a sex slave, and I'm officially throwing this in the dumpster.

Sorry, but this experience was significantly worse than getting tossed into the Mushoku Tensei early series deep end, and there's a 0% chance this show will be even 1/5 as good.

Overtake and Firefighter Daigo both had very gripping first episodes for subject matter I wouldn't usually be interested in. Definitely watching these.

Frieren was of course incredible. I'm sure I'll eventually burn out like I usually do for anime I've already read the manga for, but this is firing on all cylinders.

In Love with the Villanous is good, but this one just ain't doing anything for me that I'm not already getting from the manga, compared to MagiRevo which I think was much better than the manga. Would def reccomend for newcomers but I probably won't follow.

Shangri-la is a great looking show when it wants to be, but just don't really care a out the core of the story. Could come back to this eventually with enough good word of mouth.

God App...just too hideous, can't do it. A real shame for all those involved that it looks like this. There are certainly worse looking CG anime, but this one SHOULD have looked better.

I only watched Ballbuster Nut for the japes, I ain't following this one. Not like it was bad but not really enough.

Faraway Paladin with a low key episode that would make you think it's not even the start of a new season. I kind of appreciate that.

Also it sounds like they recast the lead VA? Don't get that much in anime.

WOW Vampire Shut-in is all over the place, but I liked almost every second of it. Absolutely nothing like the PV I saw so I imagine it's going to shift around even more, but didn't expect to be this interested. Thought this would be a drop for sure.

Firefighter Daigo episode 2 had a minute and a half episode recap, then the OP, then repeated the last 3 minutes of the first episode. 6 minutes for the episode to actually start.

While it's not like I can't just skip through it, still not a great implication for the production. Things like this can make me drop a show if it keeps happening, even if I like it.

....I have never seen PreCure, but boy am eyeballing this show about the PreCure girls as adults just from the concept alone.

May need to see if it's impenetrable or not.

I don't think my standards for an OP to grip me are that high, maybe they are higher nowadays following voltch's contest, but come on. No one could even convince me the new Goblin Slayer OP in any way competes w/ the original's. So that's a really big 0 for 3 with SxF and Kenshin, geez...

At least the return episode was great, nice to re-enter that world esp with big emphasis on the side and background characters, and I'm also glad they kept the same musical motifs for the area themes, now whether they maintain the same battle songs, I guess we'll need to see...

Spy x Family even better, repeatedly lol'd the last few minutes there. Really feels like it never left, off to a great start!!

I will say the new EDs for Kenshin, Spy X Family and Goblin Slayer have all been to my liking

Tangentially related, I feel like it's been a while since the last time a truly absurdist comedy has come out and landed. Our Cromarties, Konosubas, Asobi Asobases.

I don't really get Cromartie. It might be one of those things I have to try again (like Daioh, which, aside from the quirky OP, I also didn't stick with).

The cromartie anime is not a good adaptation.

Did you watch it dubbed or subbed?

I feel like it's excellent in both, but the dub is probably what it's most known for.

Azumanga Daioh is one I could never really get into either, though. I tried to watch it immediately after Nichijou, probably didn't help.

Nichijou is one I dont get and I watched all of it unfortunately. Azumanga was fun stuff though. Konosuba is excellent and I cant wait for another season. Just inject that into me

I watch everything dubbed, because I am legally blind. To be fair, I haven't watched either show in probably a decade. I usually give shows 2-3 chances to grab me until I just dump them completely. I think Chrono Crusade is the show I've tried the most and always dropped. So who knows.

I'd take a new season of Asobi Asobase over all these TBH. Even Konosuba!

Finally finishing out Dead Mount Death Play before the new season starts tomorrow.

Ever Narita series is less interesting than the last, it seems. The production definitely seems less solid than Baccano or DRR, but I haven't read the manga to compare

I think my list for the season is finalized, nothing else I'm interested in that hasn't hit yet.

Only exception is The Apothecary Diaries, which actually looks very good, but doesn't air for another 2 weeks for whatever reason. Based on the PVs I'm expecting something real special, but can't say for sure.

Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess episode 1

This show is so dumb I love it. This was actually pretty close to the PV I saw in that the PV was also all over the place. I have the impression that it's this goofy fantasy comedy that randomly has segments that take themselves way more seriously than the show has any business being, but I could see the show going in several different directions. Definitely watching more either way.

I have absolutely no idea what a show like this is doing with Go Shiina as the composer but I am here for it.
